    Coppertone memories

I'm a coopertone baby as well. The house I grew up in was built in 1963. My father moved into the house while my mom was having me in the hospital. She came home to a brand new house in a Detroit suburb with a new baby. It had coppertone gas cooktop and single gas oven but the coppertone was...

Finding bake elements for Hotpoint range

Welp...hope they fit Thank you, all, for your help. I really wanted to find someplace local to round up the parts but the husband is out of town for over a week which leaves me with 8 kids at home to tend to and drive around. I went with wiskeybill's recommendation on Ebay. They look about...

Wow, what would I do... without you fellas? So relieved to find out i can find parts for her. So, when you all say "independant parts dealer" or original GE and Hotpoint dealer how would I go about finding those? So not Sears, Best Buy, or Home Depot I know. I am in between the Detroit, MI and...

What do you think about this Frigidaire range?

Shoulder burn? I have seen a few of these and wonder, especially on the wall oven version, how one opens these without burning your arms or cheeks when opening these while hot. Unless I am missing something and the doors remain cool on the inside (?) is this not a serious design flaw? Curious...

    Wash-In March 2015

That Mixmaster!!! Wow, dynaflow, did that gorgeous Sunbeam come home with you? She's a beauty! Almost looks like it was never used. When I went out to pick up my 1956 Hotpoint range from a member here I stopped at an antique mall on the way home and came home with a Sunbeam Mixmaster Model 3...

Another Stainless 1955 Hotpoint - Pittsburgh CL

Never seen one of this vintage in stainless steel before. And it seems to be in good condition if all those parts off to the right go to it. It's very similar to my pink Hotpoint'56. Stainless is not my thing but if it was I think that price was fair considering how rare it is..

Beautiful!!! : Vintage FRIGIDAIRE yellow 1957 Fridge - $250 (Greensboro)

oooohhhhh, sunny yellow.... I really love this pastel yellow. It's a shame we hardly ever see this color. I'm curious as to why this shade of yellow never took off while the various "harvest golds" did.

Nifty chocolate milk colored 1958 GE range

Found this today on craigslist. Such a cool color. I have always liked this chocola tey brown color more than the more common shaded browns. Of course, it's one of those "make me an offer" ads that I hate. They should just name a price and start from there. Still, I thought this range was really...

Coppertone oven, cooktop, and sink for ....$3 !

That's what the ad says. 3 single dollars. They look like they are in great shape. These are in Bowling Green, Ohio, not Kentucky. About half way between Toledo and Columbus. Well, more like 45 minutes south of Toledo. You know you all want to visit Toledo,;)...
