    Meet the HORTONS!

Wonderful find!!! The dials on the one unit reminds me of the first Maytag we had in the early 1950's.  The AMP.   The sounds remind me of the Jacobs Laundryall of that same time.   Are these machines bolted to the floor?   I love it!!  Thanks for sharing.   Jerry Gay

    Picked up a turquoise SU60

Our first . . . . . . dishwasher was a portable model with the bowtie fan  blade in the bottom.  It was a great machine and would really move the water.  Everything got cleaned.   Good luck.   Jerry Gay

My new 1963 Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII set

That Easy Spindry . . . . . . is the most fun washer to use.  I had one I loved for years, but the pump bit the dust and I had no way to replace it.  Gave the machine to Tyler and he found a pump.  Hope he's enjoying using the Easy.   Jerry Gay

having fun with a g.e. bowtie

Our first dishwasher . . . . . . was a GE Mobile Maid very similar to yours (without the rust).  It was a very good machine and could clean anything we put in there.  When that bowtie got to going, the whole machine would shimmy back and forth.  The noise could be heard on the next planet.    ...

    Quality of Fisher and Paykel

My dish drawers . . . . . . are 14 years old.  They work beautifully.  Never a complaint here.  They are quiet and clean well.   I agree that a detergent pod is way too much soap for a dish drawer.  I've always used Cascade powder with never a problem.  I always run my water HOT so it is...

Current Speed Queen Front Loaders, your thoughts?

I've had my SQ . . . . . . front load for 3 or 4 years.  I bought it from John LeFever whenever he had the last big wash-in at his museum in Beltsville, MD.  It works like a charm.  Doesn't even vibrate during the fast spin.    Go for it!!   Jerry Gay

    POD 9-16-19 Thor Automagic Dishwasher

In the early 1950's . . . . . . we had a friend who had the Thor clothes washer and dishwasher. My parents had to be out of town, so I spent the day with these friends and watched the lady load dirty breakfast dishes into the machine. The plates had dried egg yellow on them from their fried...
