Looks like the maximum size would be a 3.1-3.5 cubic foot front loader with matching dryer. Grab the measuring tape, looks like a tight squeeze. My set (together) is 54" across and 35" height. I still think you should look for vintage for quality and practicality, but there's very limited...

For sure Vintage is the way to go....but finding that Westy set is a mission! Also.... they are a lot larger than your current set up so be sure to measure the area where you will place them.

Wow ....all these good finds in the Northwest, and this one is very reasonably priced and given a great description! These Maytags will probably last another 30 years, while the new W/D the sellers are wanting to buy--maybe only 5 or 6 years (if even that)! I wish more people saw the true...

Frigidaire I agree that the Frig is the best value for the money. I have the 2140 set. Don't get the one with Auto Temp Control-- it'll just mean you can't wash anything in more than lukewarm water. Also, if the water level is too low for your liking, the machine is easily modified. The dryer...
