    Alliance Energy Saving Toploaders

Tom "Here greed and stupidity have replaced innovation, engineering and progress, except when progress means progressively cheaper quality and progressively larger corporate profits." That sums it all up right there! I could not agree more.

    Alliance Energy Saving Toploaders

Sorry but clothes need adequate water to be washed and rinsed. No "government standard" exists to convince me out of common sense. I'd be leery of those "eco" cycles, especially in a top loader. It isn't too economical when clothes have to be washed again and again to remove odors, pet hair...

Does any one here have a decent cell phone?

Do not buy anything Motorola! What a bunch of overpriced crap, designed to fail after six months if it even lasts that long.

    Oster Appliances @ Target

Hey guys, I'm dreaming of beehive blenders and retro toasters lately. Currently I have KitchenAid appliances and love how they look (colors), but that blender of theirs is pure caca! Why the hell would you build a blender with teeth and blade assembly made of only PLASTIC?? I already had to...

Frigidaire dryer on the fritz—again, not pleased!

Bruce, I have the exact same unit and have been very happy with mine (mostly because the washer is easy to tweak to my liking) and the price for the set is about half of what an LG would have cost. What was giving you negative feelings about buying it to begin with and (aside from the dryer...

    Frigies in the house—not pleased

Don't worry about the spin. I have the same 2140 and on the normal and heavy cycles it will spin between each rinse (usually) if it's not off balance--though it is finicky about that. The PP cycle does not. I wouldn't return it as it's a great machine and a very good price for the features you get.

    High Speed Spin Squeal!

Launderess Ran a couple of heavy loads again, searched for moisture under the lid while running, and examined the floor undeneath. Everything looks clean and normal. I'm leaving the spin on LOW from now on though.

    High Speed Spin Squeal!

Thanks The only time I noticed the squeal was during a very heavy (i.e. comforters) load on the highest spin speed. I hadn't noticed it before and the machine doesn't always do it. I will def try the paper test. As I've said before I would rather have it break eventually from the increased...

    High Speed Spin Squeal!

Hey guys, I've noticed that on heavy loads on the highest speed spin setting, my Frigidaire 2140 has started making a high pitched noise or squeal. Is this something to worry about? Could it be early bearing failure? It doesn't happen on the lower speeds. Thanks.
