I found that Finish cleaner to be way too pungent. I use and love Affresh. It's unscented and I find it works extremely well. I was skeptical like John of needing a dishwasher cleaner but found the racks always slide smoother after using and my dishes no longer have that occasional fishy aroma...

I have the WXR860 and also have the allergy setting and max rinse level enabled. Overall I love the washer and find that it cleans and rinses exceptionally well.

I enjoyed these videos but is it true Cascade powder is crap now? I'm almost out of the now discontinued Finish powder and need to find a replacement.

Seventh Generation makes unscented pods and powder. So does Ecover. Both brands work well.

One Pod One pod is enough for most loads, regardless of whether you have a front or top load washer. Tide pods have a number of ingredients to prevent sudsing so suds level gives no indication of proper dosing. Are loads cleaned to your satisfaction with one pod?

I've had this issue in the past and Afresh certainly helped. Now I'm pretty heavy-handed with powder detergent and no longer have odors.

Now Whirlpool has one with similar features... These new models have high-end looks with the metal cabinet. Appears like the water valve is built into the hose, similar to Miele. Great price too...
