    fancy washing machines

I use my custom cycles most often. Several are based off the normal cycle. One is Bath Towels, which is a 120F wash and the other is Sheets, which is a 140F wash with a one hour soak. I like that the normal cycle has long intermediate spins so extraction and rinsing are excellent and the final...

    A good repair experience....

LG My in-laws had a similar positive service experience with their LG fridge. The issue they had was the ice/water dispenser got all scratched up. LG sent out one of their own techs and in about 3 minutes swapped out the entire dispensing module during that first visit under warranty. Their...

    fancy washing machines

Miele WXR Series I guess this would qualify as a "fancy" set. Flexibility and number of options is awesome. The automatic detergent/oxygen bleach dispensing is a dream and it can be easily turned off if I want to use a special detergent for a particular load. Wash and rinse levels are...

Are you sure it's not something simple like a bad capacitor?

Miele Twin Dos delayed cheesy smell on items

Dave, it's very easy to refill the Miele cartridge with whatever detergent of your choosing. I find the system extremely convenient and reliable.

    Miele Dynamic Rinsing?

One of these times I'll turn off the maximum rinse level and run the table linen program so I can see what you're talking about with the rinse. In addition to the max rinse level, I also turned on the allergy setting so I get 3-4 rinses on every cycle. Normal cycle defaults to 3 rinses and the...

    Miele Dynamic Rinsing?

WXR860 Rinses Hippo, I have the maximum rinse level enabled and mine will frequently add a little more water to a rinse after about a minute of tumbling, no matter the cycle.

    Miele Dynamic Rinsing?

Thanks for the replies. So Miele doesn't have a turbidity sensor. Well leave it to the Koreans...The new Samsung OptiWash has one and it automatically senses soil levels during the washing cycle and adds more time or detergent.

    Miele Dynamic Rinsing?

This was mentioned in another thread and I'd love to learn more. Do all Miele washers have a turbidity sensor, or just certain models?

1 Year Later with new KitchenAid kitchen

Thanks for the reply Andrew. It's wonderful you were able save money by doing many things yourselves and leaving the complicated stuff to the pros.

    100,000 parts closing auction.

I've driven by this place thousands of times and always wondered what it was like inside. I didn't know the owner died and that the store closed. I always thought they just kept peculiar hours. Like others, I hope most of this stuff doesn't end up in the trash bin.

    New Dishwasher

@iiijohnnymaciii Yes, it is offset. And I believe it's the global wash system. It's 2 years old, model WDT730PAHZ. Build quality is alright but it washes fabulously.

What do you guys think of this washer?

All the new Samsung front loaders I've seen have braille. I suggest you pay a little more and get one that has a built in heater. Ones with a heater are going to clean better and give you nice hot washes which will keep the washer cleaner in the long run.

    Miele WXR 860 WCS Update

I have not run the prewash but I did enable the chlorine bleach function to see if that got fixed and it didn't. I was all excited because it added more water about 10 before the wash period ended but not in the bleach/prewash cup. It flushed the main detergent compartment.
