frigidaire vintage washer, dryer, refrig, stove poppy for sale

You'll need to post some photos before you're likely to get any offers. Frigidaire made a lot of different models over the years and at the moment we have no idea what you’re selling beyond your very basic description. It could be anything.[this post was last edited: 8/21/2020-23:47]

    Maytag DE806 Dryer Rehab

Your dryer is electric and doesn't use the outer drum seal, so if you've found the inner seal you're good to go. That outer drum seal was used on the gas dryers only. It's very odd that yours would've had the remains of one as it would absolutely interfere with the intended airflow of the...

    Maytag DE806 Dryer Rehab

Unfortunately That is where the little carbon brush resides, so if you don't see it around somewhere you'll need to replace it. I have some spares that I'm not willing to part with, but I'll see if I can find one and get a photo of it for you. You should be able to fabricate one from a larger...

    Maytag DE806 Dryer Rehab

That thing you took all the bolts out of is called the spider. The shaft the drum rotates on is permanently attached to it. To remove the drum you'll need to gain access to the other end of that shaft and remove whatever retaining devices are installed to hold it in place. Then the drum, spider...

    Maytag A500 lighting conversion?

No this isn’t blasphemy. It actually sounds like an interesting idea. To be honest, Highlanders are often stripped of rare parts needed for higher end machines, so what you’re contemplating is far better. I wonder if an electroluminescent sheet could be used to light the control panel. Come to...

    Turquoise 1960 Maytag Set!

Hi Steved If the problem was just the rust colored stains you’d be absolutely right, but if you look carefully at the lower portions of the tub you’ll see that the porcelain is worn away due to overloading. At this point even when cleaned up that part of the tubs surface is abrasive and will...

    Has anyone come across this?

As usual Launderess you are a treasure trove of information.

    Turquoise 1960 Maytag Set!

I just want to add a bit more. As you already noted the tub is well worn. You’ll want to find a replacement for that at some point and they can be had from certain much newer machines. Overloading, as you likely already know, is the typical reason for wear of this sort. Your Bakelite agitator...

    Turquoise 1960 Maytag Set!

If you wanted to the bleach bottle from an 806 can be made to work on this machine. Also, be sure to lube the damper pads. If the lube on the pads has dried out the damper can be irreparably damaged and no replacement is available for this model.

    Guardian Service Oven Roaster

I picked up this set of Guardian pots and tray years ago. They haven’t been polished in ages, but I think you can get an idea of how nice they’d look done up properly. The second photo is the same set of pots from the earlier Silver Seal line. They were given to my grandmother as a wedding...

    Guardian Service Oven Roaster

Guardian and its predecessor Silver Seal cookware were meant to be kept brightly polished. It takes some effort for a piece that’s been neglected but I think it’s worth it. The textured surfaces when properly polished will actually sparkle like glitter while the flat smooth edges will take on a...

Change the control board! Change the control board!

As an aircraft mechanic the term we use to describe replacing parts until the problem goes away is "shotgunning." Aircraft parts are extremely expensive, so the practice is severely frowned upon. For example, an alternator for a Challenger 601 was $79,000 back in 2006 or 7. I'm sure it's gone up...

    Turquoise Maytag

"I thought about getting this one. It has been posted for a while. About a 5 hour drive one way." I drove four hundred and sixty miles from Burbank CA to Chico CA to get my yellow Maytag set. That's just shy of seven hours each way. This machine appears to be in excellent physical condition and...

Free Highlander Dryer Available in Burbank CA.

This sad little Highlander dryer is sitting at SavOn Appliance in Burbank on Burbank Blvd near Hollywood way. It survived a long time, but has a date with a crusher in another week if no one want's to save it. Marcia, the owner of the business, says the customer that gave it up claims it runs...

    JUST BROUGHT THESE HOME......

Very nice find And I’m pretty sure that the longer you have these machines the more that color will grow on you until you realize one day that you wouldn’t trade them for another even if you could. So congratulations Louis, and enjoy the many years of service these machines will give you in...

Vintage Harvest Gold Maytag W&D Set In New York

This is easily one of the nicest 806 pairs to turn up here. The shine in that tub is surprising for such old machines. I wonder how much actual use they saw?

    FREE Maytag A300 Automatic Washer

Ok Tom Thanks for the correction. But just to clarify, vintage cars like the one I’m restoring at the moment have a great deal of stainless trim that’s generically referred to as chrome. It’s in that context that I used the word. But I appreciate your desire to be precise.

    FREE Maytag A300 Automatic Washer

Wow! A bakelite agitator and the original chrome lint filter. This machine would be worth driving a couple hundred miles just for those two parts alone.
