I know there is a formula for this.....Amps into watts

However, at the moment, I forget it. Is it amps divided by watts, or what? Plus, I'll know where to look....when I need to know again. Also, if you have any questions electrical, this might be a reasonable place to ask them. Thank you in advance! Lawrence/Maytagbear

    Cleaning cast iron stove grates

No to self cleaning them, and here's why......... It's not that the grates will be damaged, it's that the racks will lose their polished finish, and become VERY Difficult to pull in and out of the oven. If, like me, you (or anyone)do/does a great deal of oven cooking, having easy-to-pull racks...

Has anyone had any experience with canned chicken? Chicken of the land. I don't always want to have tuna, because Rosa del Gata always demands some human tuna.......... I always give her a flatware (as opposed to measuring) teaspoonful every time..... However..... I now have trouble getting...

    How to clean/deodorize filthy ashtrays?

This is a bad for me I do not, and have never smoked. However, Ma smoked for most of her adult life, quitting for good on the edge of 70. Our house reeked, our cars reeked, my sister and I reeked. My sister and I had frequent upper respiratory illnesses...… I was firmly and thoroughly...

    Hardwick Stove

Just my experience......... Hardwick is good quality. We had a Maytag badge gas Hardwick from 1986 to 1995, when we sold the house. Easy to use, easy to clean. Oven thermostat was one of the most accurate. Lawrence/Maytagbear

I need help to choose a dishwasher

MODERN FRIGIDAIRE my new apartment came with an Elux-idaire dishwasher, and I love it, nearly as much as I loved my first ever dishwasher, a Maytag WC400, bought new in 1973. The model label is at an angle that is impossible for me to read from my wheelchair, but there is not a protruding...

Her breasts were full and plump.

iej I am so sorry about your cousin's reaction......the thing about travel, as opposed to vacationing (holidaymaking) is that things are not supposed to be exactly as they are "at home," no matter where "home" might be! Lawrence/Maytagbear (who always tries to travel!)

Does anyone still use a clothesline?

I have not had a truly suitable yard (garden) for one since we sold the house in 1996. Now that I live in a Senior's building-and do not have a terrace, deck, or balcony...… We did have the umbrella type contraption though. I loved it, Ma was not much of a fan. She was willing to give up...

    Which detergent now?

Foe me the Persil wins. Scent, power, the name, which I find more fun to say than "Tide." Either one, "ProClean," or "2in1." When I have no other choice but to cheap out, I get solid results with the regular all that's about 11 cents/use. The Sears closest to me closed down.....so no more...

    Those who have Mandoline Slicers

I am an equipment guy... I love my kitchen toys, but have never seriously wanted a mandolin. I had an ex, who used his a great deal..... If I ever get a manual slicing device, other than my Wusthof/Henckels/Swiss Army knives, it would be a Boerner (spelling?) V- Slicer. I really like and...
