And who knows, the next machine found could be an Apex?

    Norge Coma

Ross, sorry to hear about the Norge. Hopefully Manny will have it up and running soon, along with the Blackstone and Laundromat. Reading Steve and Robert's posts, I have to wonder about the voltage being higher than normal myself and possibly having an effect on the timers. Considering that the...

    POD - Wednesday, April 25, 2007 (Apex)

Well, seeing as how 2 Bendix PowerSurge washers were unearthed in the past year, as well as 2 GE AW6 machines (one of which was a parts donor to Robert's I believe), there's a good possibility an Apex will surface eventually, when it is least expected...

    Customer Service-- "Hall of Shame"

UPS Out of all the shipping services, it seems the Post Office is the gentlest. Opening up my 4 vacuums shipped back from Tucson via FedEx (after professional packaging at the store), I discovered that the plastic hood on my Hoover 634 cracked. Luckily it was in the back which was more cosmetic...

A Laundry Saying To Embroider On A Pillow

Under normal circumstances I wash twice a week. Once mid-week on Wednesday, and another time on either on Saturday or Sunday, *sometimes* Friday afternoon. And I beg to differ on the heathen and slut messages...

    1-18 in the Twin Cities

Definitely a GM machine. Looks like another Model WC too...how many of those did they make!?!?

    OK,Wards fans.....

This is one of the reasons why I like Norges so much...in Tucson I never got bored watching Nate's machine. A huge agitator combined with a wide stroke and fast speed makes for some ACTION. This one looks like no exception, although I heard it added a special "oil soak" option to the cycle...

The other '69 Wards, in Avocado...why oh why did it have to get Krushed? :(

    OK,Wards fans.....

I dug around and found this old picture of Greg's "Her Majesty" in Coppertone. Beautiful machine that's probably in somebody's Yaris or Civic right now. What ever happened to the console? I thought I saw it at the Convention in '05 in the 'agitator garden', along with the others. Did someone...

    coin laundries

There are two 24-hour non-attended laundromats (or more aptly dubbed "washaterias") here. Neither is particularly stellar, however, one is fairly well-maintained and seems to get less overloading-mamacita traffic than the other which makes it slightly better, although the downside is that it has...

Attention Metropolitan New York - A BEAUTIFUL GE

And I can barely see a round-hole Mini-Basket in there too, I wonder if it's the original? I do hope someone saves this great machine and gives it the proper TLC it deserves. It WOULD look quite nice next to a certain 1990 GE, or take the place of a certain leaky combination, you both know who...

GASP! Steve you MUST save this! What a beauty!

    More Speed Queens

Very cool! It looks like one of the first perf-tub SQs, judging by the control panel...definitely not 90's. If I were to guess I'd say it was early-80's. What has my interest is the tub ring, with the lint-filter holes. I know these have a 'circle-fill' of sorts, but does this one recirculate...

    coin operated washers

If the coin box has a round key cylinder, you *could* purchase a key to open the box and re-use the coins. Although if the machine has a "load-o-meter," then that may not be such a good idea...

From St. Paul Minnesota to my house

Great find, Don, very beautiful. I'm still looking for one myself. It seems that all of the Maytag wringers down here are either overpriced, rusted-out and virtually beyond help, or both!

Never Used? GE Kitchen Center in Kountze, Texas

That is a beautiful Sunny Yellow GE kitchen center you have there. There was an identical model in California on eBay (out of the house though) quite a while back that never sold. Good luck finding a home for it, and removing it if you plan to remodel! Hopefully someone with a big enough place...

Never Used? GE Kitchen Center in Kountze, Texas

Update on the GE I emailed the seller last week, and he responded today that he had not been feeling well, which is why he had not been able to answer any emails. Will let you know when I hear more. Austin
