    A new Zanussi dryer...

The dryer is a massive improvement noise-wise over the TC481W, and it matches my XC6 well. It is really strange how it always defaults to Synthetics on the timed cycles. I would have liked the Autosense+, but the water tank is on the top and the timed cycles are difficult to use. Does anyone...

    My first automatic collection piece...

James, a great buy here! I love these old Hotpoints, but I can't have a collection (because I live in a terraced house). Aren't these mechanically similar to the 80's Hotpoint washer dryers? I am saying this because my nana had a 800 spin 95 series Hotpoint washer dryer that looked the same...

    A new Zanussi dryer...

We're getting the matching washer (Jetsystem+) with the screen on soon, as our XC6 Jetsystem has had it. The bearings and PCB are going on it! Dascot - The dryer is made in an Electrolux factory as it comes with Electrolux standard "helpful hints" literature and it says in the manual that it is...

    A new Zanussi dryer...

It is definitely made by Electrolux, as it has some of the same common parts of my old Zanussi dryer, including the water tank, condenser and drum bearings. I think it is made in Pordenone as well, but correct me if I am wrong.

    A new Zanussi dryer...

Hi! You may not have seen me around the forums before as I mainly read rather than post. Let's start with what happened to our old dryer. After 13 years of heavy use especially during winter, our Zanussi TC481W dryer finally broke down when the timer broke and the drum wouldn't turn during a...

UK article about washing at low temps

Any washing under 40 degrees Celsius/104 degrees Fahrenheit is banned in our household! It's kinder to the environment for a start, as it prolongs the life of your washer so it doesn't have to be scrapped as quickly. Also, washing at higher temperatures kills bacteria, so your clothes will be...

    Keyboard Cleaning

These work very well! It's called Cyber Clean and it's basically an antibacterial putty/goo that you move about the keyboard which also gets the gunk from in between the keys. I've posted a link to the Amazon US page...

Boy's arm severed by washing machine...

Because the washing machine was probably the rental company's property, wouldn't the rental company be responsible for repairs? She probably didn't realise this or she wanted a broken machine! (I'm not an expert at these things by the way, so I may be wrong.)

    Amica AWM612D

Is it just me or is this Amica related to this Zanussi? The program times and buttons are the same and the display is the same, just a different colour. http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Washing-Machines/buy-ZANUSSI-ZWG1140M-Washing-Machine/650196

Daily Drivers - Detergents, September 2011

I'm a big fan of Unilever washing detergents, and have been for a long time! I have: 2x bottles of Persil Bio Small and Mighty 3x bottles of Persil Colour Small and Mighty (love the smell of Persil liquid) 1x bottle of Surf Tropical Oasis Small and Mighty 1x huge bottle of Comfort Sunshiny Days...

    eBay UK September 2011 thread

I'd love this Zanussi Nexus if only our house had space for a collection... It only needs a bit of elbow grease and it will be good as new!

Question For UK Appliance Engineers - Zanussi washer ZWF14070W1

I wouldn't have bought that particular model from Zanussi - it has really bad build quality as it is made by Midea. I think the Indesit is better quality.

Soap Nuts - Ecological Alternatives to detergent

All these soapnuts and ecoeggs seem to be are things that make the water foam up, thereby creating the illusion that your washing is being washed. Coupled with most people's habits of washing at cold temperatures, your clothes could come out as dirty as they went in.

    Swan make dryers????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Zanussi ZWG1140M washing machine looks very similar, so I think it is made by Midea, who make the washer. The website is very buggy, but I have posted a link (in Chinese). http://www.midea.com.cn/

    The Drumming Zanussi

Dryer We have a Zanussi TC481W dryer from 1999 and it works perfectly, even during heavy use. Aquarius8000, we have our dryer on top of our washer, so the placement of the water tank is fine for us. When we thought it was broken (a burning smell was coming out due to overdrying), we found out...

About Beko We had a Beko Glacier fridge freezer for 12 years without any problems. I think it only affected certain models.

Zanussi washing machine This Zanussi washing machine looks very good and has all the features that you require. They're better built than anything Indesit make and I found the cheapest price in the UK for you. http://goo.gl/Pz5qU

    UK bleach dispensers

My washer I've just looked at the Zanussi's manual (FJD1266W) and it does not have a bleach compartment, even though there is a mystery compartment next to the fabric softener. All there is on the fabric conditioner compartment is a slot for the fabric conditioner and a grab handle with text...
