    IGNIS - Non-colourfast and... VIDEOS!

You'd probably like a Staber being TLHA and all. The only catch is that Stabers are made in The USA and you are in Italy, you wouldn't be able to get one shipped to Italy. Also, the Staber washer has a hexagonal tub that rotates in the bottom have of an octogonal tub. According to Staber, this...

    Towel Eating Washer

You are 1 of the happy Calypso owners I can think of. Another is DADoeS. There are millions of people who own/have owned a Calypso and are NOT happy with it. You are happy with it so I can say you are "special".

I've got a Dyson Contrarotator at last

Oh, that's why the display shows all that instead of just "Main Wash" or "Rinse 1" etc. Also, what are your chances of doing a full cycle? Probably unlikely since you've been recording them off a cell phone but then again, I never know...

Are you saying that both your TLHA machines make the washing quality of Staber washers look like crap?

Oh! That's it! Now I get it! Tanks for the link!

Hmm... This is the "Gearbox" that links the drums together? How does it actually link to the drums?

The Calypso is a crap washer. Type "Calypso Problems" into Google and you'll see what I mean.

Did it have a RollerJack underneath it?

Also, I can't get the video to load.

So the inside door is attached to the tub and the outside door is attached to the cabinet? I do know the Dyson washers have a RollerJack handle underneath to move them because the 2 tubs, cast iron gearbox and the steel suspension legs make it heavy.

I have heard about the huge cast-iron gearbox inside of the machine. Apart from that and the slightly different drum design it is not much different then a normal Front-Loader.

I think all Front-Loaders in the UK and the US turn as they fill because they are detecting the right water level.

O.K. great videos so far but of course several questions: Why does the washer have 2 doors? Why do you put in an anti-limescale tablet in the machine with laundry? Why are you using Putfile.com when Youtube is more popular?

Pretty interesting washer. Too bad there is no way to actually see inside the drum where the clothes are tumbling around, as is the case with all Top-Loading Horizontal-Axis washers.
