Oh I see. That's disappointing, as it was the only remaining chlorine gel detergent that was sold anywhere I shop. I don't use it much, but I liked knowing "that it's there" in stores if I want it. In light of this news, I'll have to stock up on some. Thanks for letting us know! Mark

Cascade gel with chlorine bleach does not appear to be discontinued. It is still on the Cascade website and is still on the shelves in stores.

Hi Bob.  I know you have hard water, whereas I have softened water.     As long as I add sufficient STPP and select a cycle that is long enough and hot enough, those stains are completely removed and the stainless steel pans are left gleaming.  Finish Ultimate/Quantum never removes those...

Yes it worked really well and removed pretty much all the yellowing, Douglas. The plastic now looks the same colour as the rest of the machine.   I don't have a close-up "after" photo (and I'm not in the US right now to take one), but here's what the plastic looked like before the treatment:
