    Speed Queen!

Allergy Rinse Thank you for the update on the SQ FL'ers By any chance did they explain how the Allgery Rinse functions? Is it just extra rinses or higher water levels during the rinsing phase? Perhaps both? Thanks, Chris

    Dishwasher help needed.

Float Switch... Have you checked the float switch in the tub? My old Maytag did that once. You would start it but it just sit there and count the time down but do nothing else but drain. Found out the float got stuck in the "up" position. Once I pushed it back down, it started right up...

    Miele Dishwasher slow leak

I think their longevity... Leaves a lot to be desired. And I noticed that the last time I looked through their website they seem not mention that 20 year life span any more. A shame for what you spend for them.

    Miele Dishwasher slow leak

I know exactly how you feel... My Miele LaPerla II only made it 6 years (broke down twice in that time period) before it had a fatal error in the electronics. Miele wanted $1,000.00 for a new control board + labor. They were kind enough to offer a waiver of the $150 Trip and Diagnostic fee. I...

Legends of Dishwashing: The Maytag Reverse Rack

While we are on the subject.. Here is another Maytag RR dishwasher convert. I've had mine for a little over 4 months now and I love it. Once you get the hang of it, it really does hold a lot. Here are some pics from a load I did a few nights back. If you notice in the before pictures I have...

Now This Is A Miele Laundry Set-up

I am sure there is A quite a story there indeed! Manufacturer's don't abandon a platform so soon after launch. Either they were costing Miele more money to manufacture and transport to these shores than they were recouping or there was some inherent design flaw which caused them to pull the...

Now This Is A Miele Laundry Set-up

Nice Though one does wonder if the current owners are very tall or if they have to use a ladder to be able to see and set the dryer controls. LOL

"Top rack only" & the reverse rack

Non-baked plastics... Could very well be; I may try it with a sturdy piece of plastic on one of my next loads and see what happens.

"Top rack only" & the reverse rack

RR as daily driver I have a Reverse Rack Maytag that I've had as my daily driver since the end of June that I love (the Bosch is in storage in the basement)! After some practice I've found I can fit quite a lot stuff in this dishwasher. The upper rack that came with mine originally had the...

    Dishwasher recommendation

The option is... Speed Perfect. I have it on my Bosch 800 series. Yes, it will speed up the cycle and use more water, higher water temps and increased spray pressure. It does work very well I might add. But most cycles with my Bosch are generally under the 2 hour mark and seem to finish up in...

News To Me re: SS United States

Well... There is always Queen Mary 2 which is the only purpose built transatlantic liner left in service today. She traverses the North Atlantic from April through December in the busy "summer" season, then sets out on her Round-the-World cruise in January and that generally lasts well into...

    Air drying

And don't forget... The sheets must not only be hung with 6 pins, but they must also have the wind from the south blowing through them!
