    LG Dishwasher Inside

Wow! Oy! That is pathetic! The middle arm couldn't even reach the top of the tub. My new Bosch scours the top of the tub with the lower spray arm. I cannot imagine anything getting clean in that DW. Chris

    Spotting on certain item

Glass Spots I have a set of pots and pans with glass lids that do exactly what your glass dish is doing. Doesn't matter if it's washed in the dishwasher or by hand. The only way I've found to avoid the spots is to hand wash and wipe dry immediately. Chris

Maytag (Point Voyager Pics) After Citric Acid Cleaning

Cascade smell One of the Cascade POD's that comes up every so often mentions that "you'll love Cascade pretty green color and pine scent" or something to that effect. But I do remember that it had the best fragrance when the dishwasher was running.

    What the what???

"so dust wouldn't get in" That's actually quite funny! LOL

    What the what???

That's nothing Back in May I was having my dishwasher repaired and the tech from Miele told me that after seeing my jar Cascade pacs on the counter "you don't need any detergent whatsoever! The water in the machine is hot enough to melt the grease and dirt off the dishes!" To which I replied...

    About Persil ProClean & Froth

The fragrance I've read numerous complaints here and over on Gardenweb where people swear the liquid is a completely different scent than the original German version. I've used the original and honestly cannot smell a difference at all. And as far as sudsing goes, I do see more suds during the...

Time to Start all Over Again...

I'm very sorry for your loss. Glad that you and your family are safe though. I am sure you'll get your collection rebuilt. Chris

    Trash compactor owners...

Mid 90's Whirlpool I have one from the mid-90's. It gets used for all waste with the exception of food waste and cardboard; food stuff goes down the In-Sink-Erator and cardboard gets recycled. After having these two appliances for so long, I honestly cannot imagine not having a compactor or...

Installed: Maytag 8100 Washer & Dryer

These people have to be Confusing their washing machine with a garbage disposal. I opened the pump once on mine about 3 years ago when the washer was about 5 years old...all I found was a tiny piece of lint. I'd have died if I found anything remotely resembling what this guy found. Blah!

    Washing Comforters/Bedspreads: What's Your Process?

My process I start my comforters on a cold water manual soak cycle; no detergent. With my Maytag Epic this will ensure a deep water fill; generally, about 1/4 to 1/3 the way up the glass. The comforter gets completely saturated with this method. Since there is no spin (just a drain) at the end...

    New Clorox Bleach Products

Tried the Crystals And they worked well. I washed the cloth shower liner which was getting soap and mineral build up on it. Placed the crystals in the drum as instructed and added a 1/2 dose of Fresh Start. Cycle was Whitest Whites, Hot wash/Cold rinse, wash time was 10 mins. Once the water hit...

    New Clorox Bleach Products

What's in it Anyway Hi Eugene, I followed your link and saw the "What's in it anyway" and before I could even click on it, the link just disappeared. I guess they don't want us to know what's in it, lol. I am going to wash my white cloth shower liner today and I'll give one of two products a...

    New Clorox Bleach Products

I am not sure if this has posted yet or not but, has anyone seen these new bleach products? I was at the grocery store this afternoon and spied them as I walked down the detergent isle. Being a sucker for a new gimmick, I had to buy both the crystals as well as the tablets. I don't have anything...

    Hawaiian Wash Day ....

The real question I have is Jon, why weren't you using Rosalie's Zero Suds in your wash? I saw that big bottle of Persil you were using. :)

    LG Front Loaders

Awesome news That's great to know! Thank you so much for sharing the info. I am really liking these the more I hear. While there is nothing wrong with the set I have now, I've never been truly impressed with them either. The washer is great if you are washing light to normally soiled loads...

    LG Front Loaders

3 Spray Rinses I am so glad to hear that the LG's are performing great for everyone. I'm thinking of replacing my 8 year old Maytag Epic a.k.a Whirlpool Duet later this year and was seriously considering a Speed Queen FL. But its lack of an internal heater is my main reservation about...

    persil

The towels Jerrod6: Yes, those towels are the same brand. They were purchased as 6 pack from Costco last year. :) The two towels on the right were washed in a Tide Pod with Downy fabric softener when they went through the wash. The stack on the left was Persil and Downy. I am still impressed...

    persil

Some observations I just washed a small load of white bath towels using the Perls. I must say I am impressed. If there is no oxygen bleach in the product then Henkle must have come up with something just as good; the towels are as bright white as they ever were! They also rinsed well which left...

    persil

Purchased So I went to Walmart today and picked up two bottles of Persil; one liquid(gel) and the other Megaperls. I have washed two loads in the liquid and can safely say this stuff is the real deal. Smell is the same, consistency is the same, sudsing the same, as well as the clear rinsing...
