are you sure you are using the 100% of the capacity of your washer?

@joe_in_philly... Definitely! That's another thing I was meant to mention in my previous comment... small/medium loads come out of the dryer completely crease free ;-) Euro size dryers are not that petite anymore nowadays... so, even a reasonably large load of clothes can be arguably wrinkle...

are you sure you are using the 100% of the capacity of your washer?

No wash day, no instructions, wash as I go... I don't really follow any particular criteria to fill up the drum... in my case the less the better, so I can effortlessly cope with drying, folding and storing. Naturally... I don't mean to start the machine with a single pair of socks... like my...

The British Are Coming! No, Wait . . .

Sorry Fiat... but that's just plain ugly! Don't get me wrong, I generally like Fiats and I'm actually driving one myself (which I love to bits)... but IMHO the 600 multipla looks, sounds and feels like... something's gone wrong! Of course, it wasn't meant to be like that... it's a back...

    Ariston Dryers

I was young and innocent :-P Dj-gabriele, I did mention Candy... I especially remember the Zerowatt dryers... and in the episode I was describing above I was rather young... although I wasn't referring back to the 60's as I wouldn't have been even a mere twinkle in my father's eye! Also, in...

    Ariston Dryers

Intriguing question... I lived in Italy up to 1996 and I don't remember ever seing Ariston nor Indesit tumble dryers... lots of washer-dryers instead. The only Italian brand I can remember seing tumble dryers of (even when I was young) was Zerowatt later on absorbed by Candy. But there must...

    TEST: Another Detergent Challenge

Expert feel... well done! Brilliant... very nice tests! I have personally used both Ariel (which I keep using) and Persil, but in liquid form, and I had greater results with Ariel. Awaiting your verdict ;-)

15kg LG washer launched in Germany

aquarius1984... I see :-) I apoligise for sabotaging this thread this way, I'm still curious to hear what henene4 has to say on the EcoHybrid machines ;-)

15kg LG washer launched in Germany

@ henene4 - your talking about a new ECO line on dryers and washerdryers, and EcoHybrid... what are they... LG? @ aquarius1984 - Nobody on this thread has made any reference to nations, nationalities or races but yourself. I'm probably missing something out here but I fail to grasp the reason...

15kg LG washer launched in Germany

Looks to me that something else flipped... aquarius1984 - what is the need to denigrate Italian products like that... in a short paragraph you mentioned 'Italy/Italian' 3 times and associated it with volgarity and lack of respect. It's clear that you have some personal thing going on there...

So you think you're washing at 60 degrees?

Dex, I'm sure the 60 cycle in your Candy would be the same as what the German testers revealed. If you measured the temp of the glass, chances are that you're not going to have an accurate reading... beside, the temp would've dropped after 15 min as the machine ona standard cycle is likely to...

So you think you're washing at 60 degrees?

Pathetic 43 Yes, it is pathetic... didn't they realise that they were using the wrong cycle? The cotton 60 cycle 'coloured 60' whatever you want to call it... does a much hotter wash then 43 degrees... and what is really pathetic here is the way Which? magazine is spreading incorrect...

So you think you're washing at 60 degrees?

I see where you come from aquarius1984, but how else could I call a cotton 60 cycle if Which? themselves call it that? They must've read the manual themeselves... or they got to that cycle by following some kind of logical thinking or perhaps instinct. If they were to make a genuine mistake...

So you think you're washing at 60 degrees?

No defending any1... sticking to facts... aquarius1984... you just carry on aimlessly... The cycle is not labelled Cotton 60... it just says 'Coloureds' on the control panel without the mention of any temperature. I gave you the morale of potential mistake because I know by reading the...

So you think you're washing at 60 degrees?

But it was a mistake... Dex, you don't need to make up excuses for this phenomenon when washing a 60 degrees Celsius on modern washing machines. The 12 machines tested by Which? were supposed to be tested on the Cotton 60 cycle but only 11 of them were tested at this temperature, the Hoover...

So you think you're washing at 60 degrees?

Honestly... Which? are full of... flunnel... I just unwrapped my which? magazine and I quickly browsed through the pages but I couldn't find this article... what page is it on? I own the Hoover DYN8163D8P and I tested the temperature myself. There are two cycles that are supposed to wash at...

    Knock, knock!

Sleek Design... Logixx, my parents have a kitchen very similar to the one posted in your pic, very simple geometric shapes and a few small hidden handles. Everything is hidden, even oven, the hob, the sink, you name it! It was made by an unusual brand called something like SHIC or SCIC (not...

Reversing on modern White Knight dryers et al?

I get it now... Thanks foraloysius. That's it then... cutting down costs of production again by implementing one motor to do everything :-S

Reversing on modern White Knight dryers et al?

Reversing on condenser dryers... From this thread it emerges the fact that the condensor tumble dryers' reversing method has recently been adapted to short reverse intervals. Like other members, I also see the logic of what Austin says above... i.e. the fan does not cool the steam when the...

    Knock, knock!

That's neat! Definitely neat! I wonder what happens if some1 knocks while the machine is operating... perhaps it'll halt the cycle and open... duh! About opening the door in an emergency... I guess there would be a safety lever hidden somewhere (for the user to know) which allows to open the...
