    New Washing Machine

Currys Exclusive Bosch It is a great machine this one, the worlds most water saving, in terms of a full load wash to water ratio. If I remember correctly this one has the 64l (wave) drum, and not the 58l (Wave) the Exxcels have??

    New Candy GrandO!

They got rid of the Evo door already? Thats a shame, the top access was really good feature. I hope they've replaced the whining motor with super silent ones? Looks like to me that top one will have a true LCD (Like TOL Aqualtis) display, and not a pre-laid out digit (LED) display, which they...

New LG washing machine May 2014

The Loss of 30C, and temperature reduction.. Its all because the some silly rules came out saying all machines must have a 20C option. Meanwhile, on 60 & 40 cycles we're seeing what the states are seeing - dumbing down the temperature of the cycle, so that the manufacturers can claim there...

Samsung EU smart Washing Machine May 2014

Detergent dispenser thing reminds me of Indesit Moon! The control panel is nice, but that display sure is small in comparison to the rest of its features. Panasonic origin by any chance, as they promoted one like this at IFA 2013?

Which are the Best Sellers of your country?

Quote: "unfortunately in the uk the best sellers are hoover and hotpoint for their previously good name. rarely do they have satisfied customers after a year or 2 though but thankfully LG and Beko are creeping in alot more. " Do you have Evidence of this?? I am a proud Hotpoint owner, both old...

    Ariston

Sorry to bring this thread up again.. But.. ..I think Dialogic is next to return? Ok, over the past two years or so, pretty much a year after the round door machines were introduced from Hotpoint (as obviously Ariston no longer exists) Indesit company dropped Aquarius, and Aquarius+ (and...

    Humming and bulky sensed!

That system you describe in your original post sounds a bit strange. Surely if its a larger load, it should tumble faster, not slower. If its a small load it should surely tumble slower, so items don't distribute? My Hotpoint for instance turns at up to almost distribute during the wash when...

    WT 960 Limited model???

just a display, no dial? I take it you mean, a Hotpoint machine with just a (White) display, no dial, programme buttons etc. If I remember correctly it was an Ultima, and was made in the UK, with the UK door and the 55l/WMA style drum design, based on a Ariston model - made outside the UK. Its...

    Hotpoint WMD 960 Pre-wash

No Pre-wash These machines don't have a pre-wash, most normal people in the UK don't choose pre-wash. I dont see why this should determine whether or not you need a new machine though, you've had it 6 years without pre-wash, why all of sudden is it really needed? I manually pre-wash on my...

    Which washer do you have?

Love the Chrome door AEG88830lover !! I previously owned a Hotpoint WM31, however it developed several faults which were too expensive to repair, I had no time to repair it, and were not going to pay for a repair - we purchased a Hotpoint HE7L492 from the very latest Hotpoint range (Just with...

    Grundig are here!

They certainly look great, but only time will tell, if they do last - I certainly hope they've brushless motors? Touch buttons are great, and programme choice seems pretty decent. I certainly love the chrome door, and control panel, shame there's no Vented dryer, why are manufacturers these...

    Does Hotpoint Anti-stain Really Work?

electron1100 - I notice once again 60 or 90 is bought up - this cycle is designed to effectively remove all the stains that would come out at 60 or 90, but wash only at 40C. As that's a better temp for coloureds, bright coloureds (and darks if soiled with anything white??) I agree a good...

    Candy

I'm sure my grans Hoover had numerous bearing replacements in its life before her Whirlpool. A Hoover Performer AB130. It didn't take them too long, though never payed attention as to how they initially got the drum/tub out. Its probably like the round door Hotpoint's you have to unclip the...

    Does Hotpoint Anti-stain Really Work?

Indeed its nothing new chestermikeuk, I will be giving chef whites a soak in future before washing (especially with tomato stains). Looks like manufacturers were at it back in the day too though - Servis wasn't exclusive to have the mix soak, Hotpoint's had that too? MRX - currently I've that...

    Does Hotpoint Anti-stain Really Work?

OK - fe Thats fair enough, I use nonbio which is probably why. I also agree tumbling for 2hrs isn't so good for coloureds after all - but still better than boiling them in order to remove tough stains. I read the manual - and it says its designed to give a results thats better than A class...

    Hotpoint wma54

Thats nice of them. Least you can now wash again, but you wont want to give this back will you??

    Does Hotpoint Anti-stain Really Work?

yes Logixx - but no additives (just detergent), and only a 40C cycle.

    Does Hotpoint Anti-stain Really Work?

Yes that's true jon, but yet again the mention of 60 degrees, this cycle is only 40C and designed for extreme soils (without stain remover needed). Probably is a marketing gimmick, but why not, if it gets them sales. Yes not sure how many people years ago cleaned, but they all used high temps...

    Hotpoint wma54

A local engineer or a Hotpoint/Indesit engineer? Never known them to give a machine to you while one gets fixed, so thats interesting, and an older machine as well? Powerstream is a distribution (or 2) during the main wash - usually when the machine reaches temperature.

    Does Hotpoint Anti-stain Really Work?

I was showcasing the machines programming, not going into a debate whether or not this is right to wash chef whites at 40. It certainly isn't right, I was just demonstrating the cycle. Yes you can use 90 for Chef whites, and I do, but Anti-stain is designed for Coloureds to protect the colours...
