mrcleanjeans is correct! You have calcium in your water, choose a high phosphate detergent, and use a lot of it!

Too soft of water will cause degrading of plumbing fixtures, including water heaters!

Sounds as though you could benefit from a water softner, and the newer dishwashers will provided better much results as well.

I disagree about the cleaning ability of the reverse rack. I use mine regularly, but I found that pots and pans on the top rack must be centered in the top rack over the tower. Even then, occasionally a few pans are not spottless. Also, I find more dirty silverware with this machine then say...

I believe they have installed your humidifier on the wrong duct. It should have been placed above the furnace where the heated air would "dry off" the humidifier pad.

I have a reverse rack, and the heating element only comes on for drying purposes only. There is no water heating on my model. Although, the reverse rack model with the sani-wash selector - does indeed heat the water.
