Plumbing washer with vintage duratub sink.

Dura tub restoration Filling a pvc pipe with hot sand makes it so malleable it can be shaped into any shape so the offset will not be hard to replicate. I found a seal that should work on Amazon for the base. Then it's just a turqouise gell coat for the tub and a repaint for the cabinet. I...

Plumbing washer with vintage duratub sink.

I really need to finalize my rough in plumbing for the drain. I bought a duratub with the dual spigot for suds saver at the architectural salvage store. I've decided that instead of a normal washer standpipe I'd rather use this sink to drain. I want to have all of the water hoses hidden if...

Finally found a dishwasher! Kenmore rotorack!

Wall box Yes. I thought about the wall box possibility. I considered making it out of tiles with a built in drain and a spigot so I could connect it with it's coupler. Then I can still wheel it to the sink for easier loading. It would just be so much simpler to connect it the same way a typical...

Sad End For Two Canadian Wringer Washers

All that work for very little scrap value.. $5? worth of copper in the motor. Should have just turned them into planters or something.

Finally found a dishwasher! Kenmore rotorack!

How did you mount the valve so it is both convenient and not unsightly?

Finally found a dishwasher! Kenmore rotorack!

I'm finalizing the plumbing at my new place (I'm putting in a whole kitchen). Can I connect this dishwasher to a permanent water source or would it require a shutoff valve?

Harvest gold maytag free in seattle area

I spotted this on fb marketplace. I'd pick it up myself if I didn't already have my frog eye kenmore set. Looks like a 70's era maytag? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1377164362687360/

Looking for parts for my 50's hotpoint/GE stove!

Thanks combo 52! I have checked ebay and don't see an original. I'm not in a huge hurry since my other stove works until I get this unit fixed up. I actually think I would use the deep fryer on occasion. I don't own a deep fryer and the one that comes with the stove is a nice small size so you...

Looking for parts for my 50's hotpoint/GE stove!

I'm missing the bake element for my stove. I think the original was about 15.5" x 20.5" I found a photo of one from ebay I think is the original style. Also missing all of the deep well fryer parts. I know these are rare as hens teeth. If someone has some originals I'd be interested in getting...

Picked this hotpoint stove up for free today!!

Yes it goes well with the kenmore washer dryer and matches my hotpoint combination and upright freezer! Now that I have the appliances I need to work on finishing the framing plumbing etc of the kitchen so I have a place to put these! I will keep an eye out on ebay. Thanks for the link! This...

Picked this hotpoint stove up for free today!!

I guess I was just at the right place at the right time. I spotted this on FB marketplace. It was pending but the first person failed to pick it up. I'm excited about this. I'd LOVE to have the deep well fryer parts but sadly I do not have them. I know they are as rare as hens teeth, maybe I...

Adding sacrificial anode to suds pump? 1951 kenmore

Replacement isn't really an option since the suds pump is unique. It has a solenoid that pushes the drive wheel against the belt when energized. Also I will have the same issue with the drain pump and the suds diverter valve. I like the idea of powder coating or epoxy sealer. I think I will go...

Adding sacrificial anode to suds pump? 1951 kenmore

Hmm that looks pretty good. Yeah.. maybe I should consider coating it. I have some epoxy sealer I could use. I also have access to anodizing at work (just don't tell the boss)

Adding sacrificial anode to suds pump? 1951 kenmore

I was thrilled to find these. I had placed a wanted ad on Craigslist. I was mulling this over and I think I could make a "gasket" out of zinc between the halves of the pump. I will seal it with some gasket maker and have a tab that wraps around to go under one of the mounting screws for proper...

Adding sacrificial anode to suds pump? 1951 kenmore

I recently picked up a 1951 kenmore washer dryer set. Thanks northwesty!! I'm going to slowly go over this set. The first thing I did was pull the suds pump apart which was frozen. I got it unstuck and disassembled. It's OK but it is a bit oxidized. I will media blast the oxidation away. I was...

Finally found a dishwasher! Kenmore rotorack!

I finally remembered to take a photo of the dataplate while I was up at my place. Still haven't tried doing anything with it since my main goal right now is to finish construction on my kitchen.

    1954 hot point combination

I bought a 1954 hot point combination yesterday. It's in reasonable condition and still working. I am missing the hook that the door latch fits on to as well as a missing drawer and a couple other odds and ends. Where is everyone getting parts for these? I'm not finding much on Google.

Finally found a dishwasher! Kenmore rotorack!

Aww thanks for the information! I will post a photo of the data plate next time I am up at my new place and inspect the hoses/ washer and put some hot water in it. I do have the upper rack sprayer. I had removed it when I took all the racks and wash arm out during transport.

Finally found a dishwasher! Kenmore rotorack!

I picked this baby up in missoula MT on a road trip heading west back to Seattle. I actually spotted it a month ago and the seller agreed to hold it for me until my trip! It appears to be in fantastic condition and missing no parts. I think it will work very nicely in my mid-century kitchen. I'm...
