    Westinghouse Washer

if you do get it be careful about moving it -- you have to secure the insides so that boot doesn't tear apart in the move.

    Westinghouse Slanties!

I am looking for a part though... the knob on mine broke, it had a dent in it so it musta been whacked at some point. Unfortunately the donor machine's knob was 100% plastic and is stripped out. So, I might try to drill it out and put the metal part in it but I am doubtful it will work. If...

    Westinghouse Slanties!

Here is a shot of the machine on spin. It has gone through all its cycles on it's own and seems to be working. That repaired boot is working right now, but I don't think it will stand up. I post if I do anything with it. Happy days!

    Westinghouse Slanties!

Here it is all together that motor works so I hope that timer is usable now.

    Westinghouse Slanties!

I still want to have a working backup that motor on the left is from a Maytag but I think I can get it to fit into the base of the Westinghouse. The Maytag base gear it too big for the Westinghouse

    Westinghouse Slanties!

Here Are a bunch of timers, one motor from a old other donor machine did actually work.

    Westinghouse Slanties!

A real major problem Was the timer wouldn't advance. More timer problems! So I swapped out the timer motor from the donor machine. Anyway I thought I had tested it but it decided not to work either.

    Westinghouse Slanties!

I wanted to See if the machine worked before I started to worry about the Boot. Anyway it did have problems from sitting, as the pump didn't work. It has this newer one on it, the front comes off and is sealed with a large O-ring. Some hair had gotten around the shaft, but after cleaning it...

    Westinghouse Slanties!

Here is some more good news I was able to salvage the fill tube from the donor machine. It is a weird shape and would be hard to mock-up. It goes from the Hot-Cold control to the tub.

Awesome Westinghouse Appliance Sales Training File on Amazon Video

I watched most of it Kinda fast forwarded through some of it. I must say it has some major stars in it for an industrial sales film. Lots of other familiar faces too. Hour and a half, they should have made a real film.

    Westinghouse Slanties!

Well I have had my first major success I put the timer from that super rusty dryer into mine and it now works!. I have probably had the timer out of my 54 about 54 times, trying to finesse it but I could never get it to work, it was very frustrating. Anyway I have had this machine for over...

    Westinghouse Slanties!

Hopefully they can help keep this one and the dryer going Is there a link or something on how to replace the boot in these? It doesn't seem to be in the repair manual. I remember Christopher doing it but I can't recall a real step by step process in his thread. Thanks for any advice. I will...

    Vintage West Bend electric WOK

Well, here they are cooking away. I kept the recipe pretty basic as I am new to this, but it was pretty easy. I would not buy the pre-packaged stir-fry mix again, though -- the vegetables are cut too big. Anyway, they were both very tasty. Yes, the rabbit taste just like chicken. Without...

    Vintage West Bend electric WOK

So I decided to do a taste test here with both these Woks. First here is Rabbit meat. My Daughter's rabbit unfortunately broke it's leg while it was at the State Fair here in Puyallup, so it had to be put down. It was a meat rabbit and the right age. Anyway I have never butchered a rabbit...

    Vintage West Bend electric WOK

So I know something like this has probably happened to many here. While at an estate sale a NIB WOK showed up. Initially I didn't get it since I already had one, but changed my mind when I got to my car and went back. How many times is something like that going to show up? So now I have two.

    Vintage West Bend electric WOK

Hi all, thought I would share this vintage West Bend electric Wok. I bought it at the crazy Goodwill Outlet about a year ago. I really haven't used it much. When I first got it it didn't have the lid. Amazingly, about 6 months later I dropped in and there was the matching lid. So I did end...

I did use this feature the other day and it was most helpful, on my Westinghouse. Brian
