Hi all, thought I would share this vintage West Bend electric Wok. I bought it at the crazy Goodwill Outlet about a year ago. I really haven't used it much. When I first got it it didn't have the lid. Amazingly, about 6 months later I dropped in and there was the matching lid. So I did end up with a complete unit.

So

I know something like this has probably happened to many here. While at an estate sale a NIB WOK showed up. Initially I didn't get it since I already had one, but changed my mind when I got to my car and went back. How many times is something like that going to show up? So now I have two.

So I decided to do a taste test here

with both these Woks. First here is Rabbit meat. My Daughter's rabbit unfortunately broke it's leg while it was at the State Fair here in Puyallup, so it had to be put down. It was a meat rabbit and the right age. Anyway I have never butchered a rabbit before, and after watching a few videos at the University of Youtube figured I could do it. It wasn't that big of a deal. I soaked the hind legs in a salt water mixture as they could be a little tough. Anyway I am going to compare this to chicken in the other WOK.

Well, here

they are cooking away. I kept the recipe pretty basic as I am new to this, but it was pretty easy. I would not buy the pre-packaged stir-fry mix again, though -- the vegetables are cut too big. Anyway, they were both very tasty. Yes, the rabbit taste just like chicken. Without the chicken there it would be hard to tell the difference. The rabbit was the better of the two though. I am so happy I picked up that second Wok though as it does work a little better. Anyway these Woks are keepers and I plan on using them more in the future. Thanks for looking. Brian
