Anybody use the Dettol antibacterial cleanser liquid? Any good or just another gimmick?

Hope this is ok to post as its to do with the home etc. What mobile network in general has the best signal for voice calls and texting? Obviously does depend on location but overall? Mainly use it in rural areas. This thread is aimed at UK only forum users.

I use Simply Sensitive or Pure because it is highly concentrated and optical brightener free. I use it for underwear, towels and bedding. Is available in Tesco's and Sainsburys UK.

What about Daz detergents any good?

Can recommend Astonish products too though the laundry detergent is only non bio so would need a booster for stains otherwise good.

I second Bold, Ariel and Fairy. All rubbish for rinsing and nowhere near as good as the 90's. I am using Almat still and rinses far better than the over priced branded stuff and cleans as good if not on par. What detergents do you use that you think rinses well @ Zanussilover? Ben

@liamy1 I would have a guess and say it was Robert Mcbride who makes Sainsbury's own brand. The own brands are less sudsy than the mainstream brands have you found that?

Never seen that brand of detergent in Tesco before @ Gary I find Ariel or Daz works better in my machine. Persil liquid is not an easy detergent to rinse out I find. I think they have a high concentration of a chemical called Sodium Laureth Sulfate and that's what causes a lot of foam. I don't...

The UK Ariel tabs only contain optical brighteners as far as I'm aware its impossible to put oxygen bleach into liquids or tabs because it would sink to the bottom and be ineffective. I have used them but they are nothing special to be honest! Low sudsing though so that's a plus point in my book.

In the UK Unilever have added optical brighteners to the colour powder but not the liquids or colour tabs. Some people say they fade coloured clothing others say they don't. Do you find much of a difference between the big and own brands relating to colour Care Detergents? Recently tried the Asda colour powder and after about 5 washes the coloured shirts look dingy and faded. Anyone ever had this wi th cheaper brands?

How does one rate Amways Sa8 laundry detergents compared to Ariel and Persil? Does it look after the clothes any better do you think or overpriced products?

Does anyone have an allergy to optical brighteners? Just wondered how common a reaction to them was. For the last couple of days I have had intense itching all over my legs and a bit on ababdomen. Is not my shower gEl I know that. Did wash bed sheet in Persil non bio powder though.

I find modern detergents do not use enough anti foaming agents hence the oversudsing however the own brand versions seem to use more and you get a few suds but not like the picture above.

@ Zanussi Lover What model is your Beko? I didn't think any modern machine did deep rinse levels up the door these days though mine does 1/3 up the door which is enough i find.
