Brushes Hello Chris If you suspect brushes then change them a.s.a.p., modern machines will often take out the main board if the brushes fail and send sparks every where. These a re solid machines so if you get it sorted with just brushes then you have a result Gary

me too Having had 3 modern "eco" type machines that's why I went back to a machine made in 1981, it has high wash and rinse levels like the Bosch there, short wash times and cleans perfectly.

Steel Another lovely twin tub, I have always liked the stainless steel deck on these, what a practical idea aswell as looking good, doesn't sound much to get it up and running, Chestermike swears by them aswell, he has been boiling his be-bellows in them for years :-)

Bearings As on any machine the life time of the bearings can also depend on the life of the tub seal on them, any bearing will fail if water gets into to it, but Miele bearings and seals are very good quality. Gary
