Could be either pitman or orbital, but from you describe about the agitator it is likely pitman. The 712 was made with both. Machines manufactured between July 1984 and June 1989 had pitman transmissions and machines made between July 1989 and June of 1990 had orbital transmissions.

Are you sure it's an LDE 713? That would mean that there was an aLmond 713 model dryer produced between 1988 and 1990. It's POSSIBLE but I can find no evidence in the literature that it happened. Maytag service literature does not list a 713 dryer in 1988. Are your sure it's not a LDE prefix...

A quick look through this tells me it is a timer problem. If it spins out, the motor, belts and pulleys are fine. I could diagnose this in about 3 minutes with a test cable if I were close by.

The data that I have comes from I'm a scan of a page from the Maytag collectors club book that we published a number of years ago. I have seen that book in an electronic format and to not own a copy myself. I know that there are members here who do.

Someone else may have more specific information about this than I do. However, I can say that the 30/31 was produced from September 1933 until July 1937. The serial numbers followed this format: 600,000 to 699,999 Affixed by A-B-C-E-H-K-M-N-R-S·U-W-X-Z.

1975

November of 1967 is the date. Not sure why there is a red gyratator activator knob since these were changed to torquoise in January of 1966. The logo decal is the sure giveaway that this machine is 1966 or later. If it were 1962 it would have had the red "Maytag" emblem as shown below in the pic.

Range and Fridge are indeed 1952 Frigidaire R-series. Electric sink is NOT Frigidaire. Any ideas?

I recently replaced a 15-ish year old Kenmore Ultrawash dishwasher for a friend because it started leaking at the pump seal. I now have the machine and think it is probably worth trying to repair. Is this a big job? Any tips from the pros?

All-in ones These were made for a while back in the 1970s. There was one marketed by Speed Queen as well as one by Modern Maid. I do recall someone cautioning that if you ever needed to replace the dishwasher and put a plastic tub unit into this frame, you might have troubles!
