Bug Report #6 New "Program Computer" Thread Memory with Cycle Signal Indicator Lights

Safari issues... As mentioned before, I found some issues when using Mac OS 10.4.11 and Safari 3.1.2. First, when I click one of the "new style" threads that have the indicators and then return, either by using the browser's "Previous" button or by using the "Back to Index" button on the page...

    Unsavoury Land lords/ladies

What we do have here are communal heating systems, typically found in 1960/70's apartment buildings. Usually people pay a fixed amount per month for this (separate from the rent when applicable, as it can also exist with self owned apartments) and at the end of each year the difference between...

    Unsavoury Land lords/ladies

Is it a common phenomenon in the US to rent an apartment inclusive heat? That is very unusual in the Netherlands and the fact that you can't control the climate in your own home would generate a lot of complaints here. Here this would be a good argument for an official application to reduce the...

Bug Report #6 New "Program Computer" Thread Memory with Cycle Signal Indicator Lights

It works for me (Mac OS 10.6.2 / Safari 4.0.4). Does this feature only counts ones visits when logged in? I have noticed since the introduction of the green arrows that I'm frequently not logged in. I probably need to acquire a new routine...

I am surprised to hear that the "Wonderwash"/"Sputnik" is so popular. The plastic construction and size seem to me only adequate for washing small amounts of laundry.

I don't think that "Wonderwash" washer is suitable for developing countries. Looks more like a toy.

I don't think people will use these instead of electric washing machines but I do think that it is a much better option than beating your clothes on a stone or using a washboard and I hope that it is affordable for those that still need to wash by hand.

    Electric Transformer

And this is what one usually sees when they are working on the cables or sewer tubes...

    Electric Transformer

Underground cables... Clearly a different layout there in the USA. Our cables are usually not in tunnels or tubes (with exception of fiber optic cables) and transformers are above ground, either in existing buildings or in structures specifically built to house them. Probably because the ground...

    Electric Transformer

So why do they do it then, covering cables with grates. Are the cables overrated and made too thin so that they get hot in use? Is this an outcome of the 110V system?

    Electric Transformer

Underground lines covered with a grate? Also new for me. I have only seen cables buried in soil. To avoid damage by digging a tough plastic strip of about one foot wide is laid over the cable. This serves as a warning that further digging can damage the cable. The strips are colour coded: red...

    Electric Transformer

Never seen or heard of anything like this here. But then, all above ground electrical wiring with exception of high voltage long distance lines has been replaced with underground cables many years ago.

Can see all with Safari 4.0.3 and Firefox 3.5.8 (Mac OS 10.6.2) But... the avatar of danemodsandy doesn't load in Firefox, while it does in Safari (no problems with other avatars)

Thanks for the information. On a sideline: is there a "quote bug"? My "..."'s seem OK.

    Keeping Up Appearances

So, "TV" in the first message of this thread is to be understood as "commercial TV" and they don't broadcast the British comedies? I think we have a similar situation here in the Netherlands. (I'm not sure, because I rarely watch commercial television: not my type of programmes.)
