Who cooks on a Flair, and your opinion of it..

Hans, call over to Bob's and talk to him he has one, it's the smaller single door model.  I can tell you first hand that he's churned out some delicious food from that thing.   Joe

    Eggs easy peel

So Hans, I guess that means you're not going to fix me any good ol' southern style deviled eggs when I come visit again?

Satisfying my craving for sweet tea.

I don't keep Tea around the house but I used to all the time.  I may have all of you beat for sugar content.  I've been known to make it 3 cups to the gallon.  Most of the time two though which is what Grandma did and Mom still does. Do I love sugar?  H@ll yeah!   I'm right there with ya'll ...

    Home Heating..

Yep it's just like that one in the video.  You wouldn't believe how good that thing looks up inside and in the exchanger.  It very well may still be running when I'm an old man.

    Home Heating..

I've got a gas ''67 Therm o pride here in my house and it's never missed a beat. It looks beautiful inside too. That thing can go from cold to hot as hell in no time flat. Even our 6 degree weather last week was no match for it!

    frigidaire 1-18 timer

Sounds like it's toasted.  Timers are not my specialty but if it were me I'd try taking it apart and find out what happened in there, see if you can repair it yourself.    If you do that be sure you mark each wire so you know how to hook it back up.   I'm also not sure about any companies that...

    frigidaire 1-18 timer

One Question, does the timer still advance?  Do any other functions on it work?

    The Frigidaires are busy!

Thanks for the compliments guys!  Yes the Poppy 1-18 is a T W3T-2.  I have the matching dryer to go with it, they both came from Mark's place.   Coincidentally both Rapidry machines went down two days apart the clutches are out on both of them.  I have to get time to find out what's going on...

    Avocado GMFR solid tub rollermatic

That's right! I would love to restore it but I'm out of room for more machines. I'd like to have more parts but I would much rather see someone who has dreamed of this get it and turn it into something beautiful to enjoy for themselves.

    Avocado GMFR solid tub rollermatic

Walt, if you decide to part it out let me know I'd be interested in some parts too, mostly related to the mechanism.

    Going to Richmond Va

You boys take care of yourselves, sounds like a thoroughly wretched trip, just like this weather.  I got in the house at 3 today and did not go back out!

    Frigidaire Clutch Tool

Hey Guys.  I'm looking to buy this Frigidaire Clutch Adjusting tool.  Anyone here have one they want to sell or a spare?  Let me know, I'm willing to pay your price (within reason) for it.   Thanks! Joe

    GMFR avocado piston

Looks like all that needs is a good cleaning up and tuning up.

    GM Frigidaire 1-18 Washtub Capacity

I've never had the problems that Greg posted from the CR article.  I think a big issue that can come up with any Frigidiare washer is a lack of knowing how to use it properly which could have easily been the case with CR.  Of course CR lost it's credibility with me a long time ago.  I think it's...

    GM Frigidaire 1-18 Washtub Capacity

My Experience Is that you can load that thing up and the Jet Cone always wins.  I have done many a Maxi load in my two with fine results.  I still resort to the old X loading patern with mine because it is a habit and it also produces a better balanced load.  I always start the bottom with...

    The Frigidaires are busy!

I have company visiting this month which means extra of everything, laundry included.  These three gals have been busy lately and they make keeping up with all the wash a breeze.

Washer Floods House, Owners Sue Mfg.

No way I would ever have a second story laundry, too much risk.  I'll gladly keep my machines in the basement with my floor drains.  I've had occasions where I forgot to switch the hose out on standpipe for the different machines.  I come back to check and water is all down the floor drain, turn...

    Poppy comes to Boston

My consolation on have to re-adjust the clutch.  I did this exact same thing myself on the last solid-tub Rapidry I rebuilt.  I don't have the benefit of the clutch adjusting tool (but I'll buy one from anyone wanting to sell an extra) and I knew darn well I wasn't pulling the pump again just to...
