Does anyone have a operating thermostat for a Whirlpool dryer?

All 4 !! thermostats checked out fine, both cold and under load(hot). The missing seal between the lint tube and the bulkhead was probably the culprit. replaced it with some good weatherstripping and it works as it should. Thanks for the offer of the parts though! It was surprisingly clean...

Does anyone have a operating thermostat for a Whirlpool dryer?

I'm pulling it apart today. the burner will not cycle on or off, and as a result, the timer will not advance on automatic with any heat setting. Air setting it advances as it should.. On timed dry the timer advances, the dryer heats just fine, but still will not cycle the burner. I'm not...

Does anyone have a operating thermostat for a Whirlpool dryer?

For my new purchase, it seems the operating thermostat is not working. Anyone have a parts dryer around with a good thermostat? Mine's Gas if that makes a difference. It's number 6 or 7 on webpage link. Trying to avoid the blank stares at my local parts house. Thanks in advance...

    Glow Plug

I just did one in a 70's vintage whirlpool dryer. Easy as turning 1 or 2 screws and a connector or 2 wirenuts. Usually the hardest part is getting access panels off. When you get the new one, do not touch the element at all. Skin oils can cause early failure. Handle it by the white...

WOo hoo! I have been missing my old sears range and have been looking for a replacement. Found a few locally but nothing good....until now. 1940s Estate. 4 burners with griddle. Easy-explode oven and zero safety features. I am stoked. No leaks no major chips or cracks. About a. 85%...

what is this whirlpool dryer and is it worth getting?(known issues inside)

That's what I figured. I was not really "gentle" getting it up to my 2nd story walkup..Wife has a bad back and my Dolly's stairclimbers SUCK. Other than that, it's pretty clean inside, not much buildup of lint and it DID dry a load ran through my BLackstone wringer in about 40 min...

what is this whirlpool dryer and is it worth getting?(known issues inside)

Well, it DID work. After running a full length automatic cycle perfectly, I reload it, push start...Hmm..No heat. Pull off kick panel and what do I see but broken ignitor parts inside the burner tube. How in the name of whirlpool did it crack a complete ignitor off at the base? Sooo, off to...

what is this whirlpool dryer and is it worth getting?(known issues inside)

Well, I did not get that one, but another one, exactly like it, with NO rust anywhere. It's sitting in my kitchen right now waiting for me to go and get the correct fitting to fit my gasline.

what is this whirlpool dryer and is it worth getting?(known issues inside)

Found this on cl...what is it and is it worth the fifty bucks? I did find a good amount of rust on the lint screen, but the drum looked mint as did the vent exit. The door was a little hard to open and seemed to stick at just open and three quarters open. If it runs is it worth getting as a...

RevvinKevin's visit to our humble commode! :-)

After living in NW AZ for a few years, I appreciate an indoor Laundry area MUCH more than an outside one. Nothing like firing up the dryer and having long slithering things with rattles popping out of the housing. Or the nice black spiders with the pretty red hourglass that love to nest next...

    Italian Frittata

Nothing beats Cast for frying and saute'ing. I have a 20" skillet that makes the best southern fried foods. Trick to cast and frying is to NOT flip it but 2-3X during cooking. Let that nice crust build up.
