    back issues of Consumer Reports

Years ago I went to a book sale that was being held at a closing Library.  To my delight, there was hard bound / backed Consumer Reports (by year) ranging from 1945 - 1995.  It was at the end of the sale and I offered them .10 per book and they gladly accepted.  I enjoyed reading through them...

LG little top loader in pedestal at Costco

Tom,   Yes, you could get it to work on it's own.

    A Welcome For The ELUX

Sounds like my LG set.  None of the cycles are set in stone either.  Even the tumble and spins are very different considering the load weight.    Makes it much more interesting.

The largest monitor top I have seen is here

What a beast! You can truly say they don't build them like that anymore! Are those pad locks on each door? Was it originally configured for locks? I would say that it was meant for some type of commercial application if so. I wonder what was the selling price when it was new. I bet is...

LG little top loader in pedestal at Costco

No hot wash Yea, I thought that was odd when I played with the cycle selections.  Although it would be a hassle, I guess you could turn off your cold water to make it a hot wash.  Humm....wonder though, would that trigger some fault code?

LG little top loader in pedestal at Costco

Tom,   This little "sidekick" machine has it's own suspension, water valves, drain and power cord.  It is very well made.  I have seen one do a wash without the adult machine on top of it.  It is very well made.  Great wash with lot's of water.  Very nice spin.  The wash was with a full load...

I love the Mt. Lebanon area!    Beautiful homes.  Love the streets that are still brick lined.    Such History!

    The lonely dishwasher at Kmart

My Kitchenaid dishwashers are not noisy at all.  All you hear is the hum of the motor and all of the water that is being splashed around.  That is not noise to me.

    1959 Lady Kenmore Combo

Very cool Justin! I remember when Kevin got this Gas version. Man, the back of this machine looks like a contraption from a science fiction movie!!!   Is that rust around the heater box?  (manifold)

    Bath Towels

I used to by all of my towels from JCPenny.  We had an outlet store near me and the prices were dirt cheap!  I was so sad when it closed.

    The lonely dishwasher at Kmart

That is what I was thinking also Rick.  Was wondering if this was the "Power Wash" type pump set up.

Black & Decker 8035, 8055 Twin Blade Rear Bag Mowers

That is a very cool looking mower.  I can't get over they had the cordless version back then!  Wonder how the rechargeable batteries held up compared to what is offered now? Black and Decker made really cool stuff back then.

    Bath Towels

Sam's Club has fantastic bath towels at a good price in the Atlanta area.  Not sure if they are offered in your area.  They are kinda pricey but it is obvious they would last for a very long time.   If you are looking to save money and get good towels...Walmart has the Better Homes and Garden...

The lone new washer at kmart

This one actually looks a little bit better than the lower line Kenmore's of the past. I wonder what "Deep Wash" actually means?  Makes you think more water but I wonder.... I also wonder what the "soil level" switch does?  At first I thought it was "Water Level".  I bet they did that on...
