Why UK machines usually different from US

I will simply echo what everyone has said... That many UK houses wern't bulit with utility rooms hundreds of years ago. It's also I think convenience, as many kitchens are located next to the garden door, so if it's a sunny day you'd take the washing out and hang it to dry. I think US users...

    Candy Softwasher 1994

A picture of the mystery, possibly electronic 80's machi The Mr. Candy, the machine able to tell different fabrics apart while talking to the consumer. Look closely and you'll notice that there's no dial, it could be electronic. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

    Candy Softwasher 1994

A mystery Candy machine I'd like to find out about... If you go to the historical archive, turn the dial 75', and go to the end, there was mention of a machine made in 83' or 84 called "Mr. Candy" which apparantly 'talks.' I think it's the machine in the background, and it looks like it has no...

Strange Indesit door on washing machine in Italian advert!!!

Hi guys I was looking at an advert made in Italy on Youtube on an Indesit washing machine in the early 90's, featuring Carol Alt on Indesit appliances. The washing machine had a strange looking door, not like the standard ones, it was double glazed and looked like it had no handle, like Hoover...

    Washing Machines............. By Russell Hobbs?

Whoops I know I'm overposting, but I forgot the pic of the Zanussi...here

    Washing Machines............. By Russell Hobbs?

Something else a little more interesting It seems I was a little wrong. Zanussi have also outsourced a 5kg 1000rpm washer, Zanussi ZWF1000M being sold at John Lewis for £259. Not something I would buy either as it reeks of cheap Matsui, and I could get a better Indesit, Hotpoint or perhaps even...

Matsui and Russell Hobbs A dead ringer for this famous Currys star

    Washing Machines............. By Russell Hobbs?

I saw one too! In ASDA, I saw one on display and had to have a closer look to make out the name, surprised it was Russell Hobbs. It blatently looks like a cheapie, rebadged Matsui I saw in Currys, it was £180 for 5kg 1000rpm. Personally I wouldn't buy one, give me an Indesit over these cheap...

Nan's mystery Candy washing machine help

could be this one... Hi Tom You could be talking about the Candy Activa Smart Range. These aren't 80's washers, but you could be talking about the one on the left, which was made in the mid/late 90's which had a digital display. There was also another series in the early noughties too. The...

    Hotpoint Mictrotronic 95840 on eBay

Congratulations Paul and Rob... On an acquasition of such a great machine, despite the fact that I thought it was a 95840 and not a 95842 as I thought the machine was white and not almond! Also your 9554A looks great too. Your Microprofile 9560 is a superb machine, a real favourite of mine...

    Hotpoint Mictrotronic 95840 on eBay

The 9554 was made around 1989-1990 There was one more Microtronic after the 9554 (apologies for the spelling mistake above), in the form of the 9555, which looked a little weird as it had the redesigned flush door and new style drum, released in 1991-1992. This was definately the last...

Look what was being given away free in Gumtree UK!

Oh come on! Last time I saw an Zanussi EB exclusive dishwasher and that caused quite a stir! Anyway, Paul I've never heard of a Jet tumble dryer, and nothing came up on a search. However I'm guessing it must be a store exclusive perhaps, do you have a link to the page you saw the dryer?
