Thanks guys for sharing such a fun story with us!! Sometimes last minute things turn out to be the most fun. A wood grained Lady Kenmore Combo, now that is one I have never seen or even heard of. Even better that it seems to be in working condition. Is it gas or electric? Have fun with...
Hey Rick, thank you for providing us with all of those details. Universal was a fascinating company and such an important part of our appliance history. The trip to New Britain was so much fun and doing the research was so very interesting.

I have to agree with Chris as well. John I don't think there is a better way to enjoy a washin!!!! I am sure we have emailed John and I am hoping one day that we can meet. It can't be all that long of a trip from the states!!! I'm just glad that you guys had such a good time.

Kevin, what a fantastic score!!! The machine looks to be in great shape. I love the control panel. I'm guessing that just the dials light up. Also loved your thread on the two Westy's. Westy looks to be a cute loving pet. Thanks for sharing.

Corey, Greg is right, a light coat of olive oil, salt, and pepper, or lemon pepper, you just can't beat it. Very easy and so good. Let us know how it turns out.
What a fantastic experience this must have been Fred. This is something that we really need to do sometime. I wonder what appliances were in the house when it was built? Thanks for sharing all of the fun with us.
Terry
Kevin, you did a fantastic job on that Hotpoint!! Have you tried the roto-grill yet?

WOW Robert, that is really interesting. I have a feeling if you checked out the local library they might have a lot of the Hamilton History preserved. That's what Rick and I did in New Britain for Universal. I was pretty sure that Two Rivers was the home of Nesco too. Love their Roasters...
Kevin, thanks once again for taking the time to make this video. What a great way to fix a turkey and have all of that out of the way when the big day arrives. I am going to give this a try the next time I have to cook a turkey.

That's really neat Rick, Amazing the condition of the Universal label. One cool day you will have to try a pot of homemade soup in it and let us know how it does.
