Sweet photos Paul! Looks like the transformation was a complete success! Thanks for sharing, looks like this is a place for a Canadian Wash-In LOL Enjoy it, it looks like its lots of fun.

Agree with everyone

The lit up Whirlpools in the dark are as pretty and exotic as something off the Serengeti plains at night, and the new paint is just sooooh nice.

Would love to see more of the 63 Mulit. That's the exact model my Aunt Margaret had, and I haven't seen one since. I loved that washer. Great to see that you have one, Paul.

Paul - looking good down there! While the machines are a handful, getting the room set-up with plumbing, electrical, venting, paint, flooring is just as much effort as any restoration undertaking.

Great job! Jealous!!

A combo you say eh!

A combo may look nice Paul, you never know! I'm glad you got a good nights rest and some breakfast before leaving to Maryland. You looked pretty sleepy by the time you got to me that night lol. There was no way I was gonna make you stay in some motel overnight :-)

YAY FOR PROGRESS!!!!!!!

CONGRATS Paul on your "new and very improved" basement / laundry room, it looks fantastic!

Now all I have to do is figure out a way to get up there to check it out in person!

The maiden wash weekend

After a slightly rough start to the weekend (I managed to leave my keys safely locked in the apartment in town, along with the dog, and hubby was on a plane to London...) I finally got to try out the new plumbing, wiring, and venting. Echo was not impressed, however... He wanted to go out and chase deer instead...

I managed to have forgotten the camera that can take video, so I tried to capture the first real wash in still photos. The 'new' Whirlpool quickly proved itself as a performer!

And this caused a bit of a 'suds spit-up' in the last drain port in the new line... A small spill occurred at the Maytag drain. I am going to extend the pipe a little and hope that resolves the issue!
