Blowing Bearing? My 641c has a low growl, that seems to be getting louder with time. I'm pretty sure its coming from the blower assembly. Does anyone know if this sound is typical (which I suspect not)? If not, I assume a bearing is going bad and if so, what's the best way to approach fixing?

Is it typical for a 142 to bleed water back through the opposite hose? With the hot water hose disconnected and the cold water hose hooked up to full pressure, a little cold water comes out the hot hose. Was this a design flaw or is the solenoid going bad? On another note, I'm still looking for...

Just an FYI for those in need of timer re-builds, Midwest Timer (the Mallory experts for years in Benton Harbor, MI) will not work on many old timers anymore. I have a DE700 Maytag timer that I wanted rebuilt. I called them and the engineer said they will not work on them anymore. Anyone else...

Antique store find a few years ago I bought this lighted sign at an antique store a few years ago before I had even gotten into collecting vintage appliances. Thought it looked cool so I grabbed it.

My 641c Maytag dryer timer is 1/30 or 1/36 rpm if that helps.
