    I sold my baby!!

It was a hard choice, But today I saw my 1967 beetle leave! My first car to call my own. So many hours spent in the drivers seat, and so many hours under the hood! It was time to go. It needed too much, and looked pretty beat up. Was in desperate need of a paint job. Been looking at all...

    My new ride.

VW did make a Panel Van back in the day. Hollowed out bus with no windows. They did have single and double cab trucks, too. They were essentially busses from the front row up, and a truck on the back.

    *NIB* Jenn-Air Range

My grandparents have had Jenn-Airs for as long as I remember. They have one identical to that in the basement. Used to be in the kitchen, but was replaced with a newer stainless model.

Updates to my 67 VW beetle

It was an original color for 1956. My car is far from original anyways, So I said why not! My dads 66 beetle is Sea Blue, it has been repainted. There is a slight tinge of green in it, but not much.

Updates to my 67 VW beetle

Well we have been painting a little more. Still no sanding or buffing yet. So its not the clearest coat. The paint color is naturally kind of dull anyways. Its not supposed to be a mirror.

Updates to my 67 VW beetle

I am a true VW lover. I will agree that the post 67 beetles had some unfavorable upgrades, especially on the super, but they did honestly make the vehicle a little more up to date than pre 68 machines. More conveniences, and more room with the super beetle. I do enjoy the post 68 beetles. Not...

Updates to my 67 VW beetle

Interesting note on the throwout piece. I have never thought of that. Haven't heard of an issue with them. The pieces in the car are all brand new. Paint began today. Still lots of sanding and touchup to do. But its coming along well.

Updates to my 67 VW beetle

Here is the motor as I got it. Lots of unoriginal chrome crap, low quality parts. All have been replaced. Big oversized weber double barrel carb replaced with a proper sized original 1600cc carb. Better MPG and performance. New original vacuum advance distributer replaced the old mechanical...

Rear fender removed. Overhauled motor put back in. Some detailing still to be done. Carburetor is off for restoration. You can see the original Beige color underneath the fenders. The car is back on 4 feet for now.
