The end of Wonder Bread and Twinkies??

I always have been recently spoiled with Rotella's italian bread. I used to have to eat Wonder Bread. Euch! Nasty stuff! I never did enjoy their little treats, but it is such a huge company, would never have thought they would go bankrupt.

Search for an appliance farm in KC!

On the way down to Belton missouri today to pick up our new 1966 Volkswagen Beetle, we drove past the Bayer medicine plant in Kansas City Missouri. On highway 435. All of a sudden the site of little square boxes started popping up, on the west side of the road, not long after seeing the Bayer...

    Piano serial numbers

Jeff, your piano is incredible looking. If you can, you should look into getting it restored internally. Externally it looks exceptional! Knabe made some of the best pianos in american history in its prime in the late 1800s. Comparable to Steinway, Mason and Hamlin, and Chickering! I would...

    Piano serial numbers

What an incredible piece of music history you have there! That really is one gorgeous piece, and incredibly rare to be in such condition. Do treasure it forever! To own something like this, especially in the United states, which was very young at the time, is something that very few can claim.

    Piano serial numbers

The 1905 story and clark is what they called a cabinet grand. Its 58" tall, and is made of solid mahogany wood. The sides each have 2 pillars going from the top to bottom of the piano. On the front ends a single pillar goes down the whole piano (breaking for the music and keydesk area) It has...

A stay in a Frank Lloyd Wright House...

WHOA! What an incredible experience this must have been! That is one gorgeous home. Im not too much into the whole "natural all wood" sort of feel, but this house changes that! I see something in the utilities room that I would -love- to have. :D Thanks for sharing the pictures!

I happen to have one of these awesome accessories. Its the green disk in the middle. Mine is for the Compact/tristar machines. From the mid early 60s. Called the Polish-aire. It is driven off the blower of the vacuum. A very fun, and really cool sounding device. Not the most effective, but...

AW Gearheads: I Have a Master Cylinder Issue

Yay! Hello there, Fellow weekend-master-cylinder fixer! This whole weekend was consumed in replacing my 1967 VW Beetles Master cylinder, and brake hoses/lines. Also wheel cylinders and drum brake pads. FUN! Probably not as fun as working on a 1950 GMC though. :)
