MAYTAG DISHWASHER I bought this exact dishwasher about 6 weeks ago.  It is a good unit - Doesn't seem to hold as much as my Whirlpool. It works great as a backup to my built-In.   Bob

Ben: Yes it is leaking at the shaft seal - Darrell is going to try and get it to seal but if we go with an electric pump - How would you wire it to engage at the correct time?? Eugene: - I have an old pump that I can send you - Let me know if you want it. Bob

Has anyone here added an electric water pump on a Unimatic ??? If so, could you share some information. I have a '55 Unimatic that the water pump is leaking. I am thinking an electric pump would be better than tearing into the pump again. Bob

John as far as I know it is the original pump.  This is the machine I got from Gordon that Darrell rebuilt the timer.   Are pumps still available for this machine ???  Should I try and run it or just wait ???

Night before last I had a load of clothes in the '62 Whirlpool - It went through the wash cycle fine - It drained about 3/4 of the water out and then it quit draining - The Motor was running - I advanced the timer to spin and it wouldn't spin. I thought that the belt must have broken. Yesterday...

TIDE POWDER WITH BLEACH I use Tide Powder with bleach and it also has a really clean smell when the clothes are dried.  I also hang all my sheets on the line and you don't smell any detergent smell at all.  Just a thought that you might like to try.   Bob

I am in the process of restoring the '55 Unimatic that I acquired a few months ago.  The water valve is completely shot. I know there are probably none to be had but can you use a newer valve on this machine.  If so, what would be the best valve to use.  Any help and ideas are very much...
