Was checking estate sales and came across this:

102 Delafield Ave
Lyndhurst, NJ 07071

Look at photo 311!

Wish I could grab it.

WOW! The mother lode of mid-century goodies here. That Frigidaire is most interesting, but I really want what's shown in picture 76. I'm going to be sulking all weekend now... LOL

A retiree on my second paper route had that model of washer. I had already seen that was in that machine two times when I was younger. Once when we went to a house to look at the aquarium they had. I spotted the washer and lagged behind just enough to go into the utility room to lift the lid which was propped up to allow air circulation with a little fold down bracket under the lid handle. The second one was on the sales floor of the Economy Auto Store in 1958, taken as a trade in. Both had the perforated basket which earned them such poor ratings by CU.

Don't have a dog in this hunt

But it is rather bothersome when estate sales cut early deals IMHO.

I mean what about those who don't bother to call ahead (and or can even reach party in question) that do their level best not only to get to the sale on first day, but be their when doors open to get what they've seen online. Only to be old "oh we sold that several days ago over the telephone" or some such.

It is their sale to run as they deem fit; but if people are going to entertain or otherwise accept side deals/telephone sales they should spell it out clearly in listings.

HEY EVERYONE - I WAS 3RD PERSON IN.....

I got to the sale early this morning, and waited in line. My friends and I were the first 3 let in. I went to the basement and straight for the washer. There were a lot of cool things. I bought it this morning and am picking it up on Sunday. There was no Weasel deal with this.

THANK YOU GUYS.....
