Zanussi Timeline Jetsystem ZWF1451 makes a return!

The distribution... After the wash when the rinse+ setting is activated the machine behaves differently, the machine just tumbles back and forth 3 times before moving onto the rinse whilst pumping. If rinse+ is not used then full distribution will occur (throwing the load to the side of the...

Zanussi Timeline Jetsystem ZWF1451 makes a return!

Well...looks like it's fate. After my mother bought this machine last October, it was destined for high temperature washing repeatedly what with her job, doing at least 6 loads a day, every day. When i moved out, dear mummy couldn't manage to work out how to use the machine so it got passed on...

    Do you believe in ressurection?!!

Darren Could it possibly be a loose connection between the motor and the "control". Now that its had a chance to rest a bit its performed ok. Maybe if it is, the movement, heat and internal vibration after its been used a few times seems to make it "knock its duck off a bit!". As you know I'm...

    Zanussi S218T circa 1981

the timer.... ive found to be one of the more noisy components, it makes you jump as it advances on with its loud click...probably the pump is starting to wear after all these years, even though it pumps out 100% it is quite noisy once its running clear of water.

Cheap and replaceable Vs Expensive !

Have to agree with the points mentioned above, still, nothing like a good old Indesit Company product or modern Servis machine to "liven" up the day.

Video of Restored UK Hotpoint 18580

loading... I agree in your vids you use a sensible size of load which is adequate for the machine...however it depends on preference i suppose. My idea of a full load is way different to Jon's and Richard's... Lets face it you don't want to abuse the old dear hehehe. Nick...a fellow Zanussi...

    Zanussi S218T circa 1981

Nick...re the spin, i think you have a point there, i can relate to that, fantastic longevity though, 25 yrs and all its had was a door catch and that was only because the owner is impatient and forceful hahaha, and she broke it. if she ever wishes to part with it she knows i want it though and...

    Zanussi S218T circa 1981

i just love the fill on synthetics. starts off about 3 inches up the door (roughly where new machines come upto on high fill) and then once it gets to Wool, thats it!!! it fills in bursts until the entire space in the drum is full of water...and it continues to wash throughout this process which...

    Zanussi S218T circa 1981

Oh and until i get any further viewable media arranged, if you want any further info on how this old stager works then I have watched more or less all of its (18) programmes all the way through so i can describe its actions quite well....[maybe i should get out more....???]

    Zanussi S218T circa 1981

...Darren, my mums next door neighbour is away for a further 5 days...I will see what I can do for you. the high level fill goes right to the top of the door and is a treat to see... Rob... It's an 800rpm machine (on delicates/synthetics this is 400 rpm.) It is super silent on spin even on 800...

    Zanussi S218T circa 1981

See my link at the bottom of a faithful old machine. A 1981 Zanussi S218T which has had nothing but a new door catch in its 25 yrs of life. This machine still is in daily use by the original owner. http://www.putfile.com/sadose

American vs. European Detergents - What's the Scoop?

Golden Powder Just backtracking a bit...what about Acdo, when i was a kid that used to be cream/yellow colour but it used to smell terrible of cheap old bath soap, but it was super concentrated and u used to get a lot from a little box.

    "A" Rated Spin Cycles

to be honest I've never really understood the logic by all hotpoints having grade B spin efficiency. The only thing i can think of is that the 1000 spin must prove more effective by being held at the same spin speed for along time as previously mentioned the 1300 spin WF430p I had was woeful...

    Question for UK Members

you are probably right, i know mine looks suspiciously like the integrated bosch washer/dryers currently on offer so it most likely is some form of badge engineered hybrid. All i know is I'll be glad to see the back of it and its only 9 weeks old!! :)

    Question for UK Members

i actually have an integrated one that fits in with my current kitchen and it really is appalling. very noisy too. until i move house nxt month ive resorted to letting my mother do my washing in her Gorenje as my whites and coloureds alike are suffering. and 3 hours and 10 minutes for a 90...

    Question for UK Members

One word re Whirlpool's sold in the UK. NO! Quality wise theyre not the best but I have seen worse but performance wise they leave a lot to be desired, washing and rinsing is very poor. I am referring to the standard sized front loading whirpool's here, the larger dreamspace I cannot comment on...

Which is the best UK detergent stockist?

I have to agree with Jon, Morrisons all the way for me, and if you're a northerner...like me, you are spoiled with the sizes and varieties of Morrison's stores on offer. Sheffield has four of them all unique and different and each one offers slightly different lines of detergent but by far the...

    problem whites and sock theories

Hate to interrupt here but i thought I'd just have my two penneth. I don't know what it is about Ecover (probably something to do with the purpose of the detergent in itself despite their claims) but I had a box not so long ago and I have to say it's the type of detergent that my auntie would be...

    Hotpoint Aqualtis

I do hope that Merloni have got it right this time with the Aqualtis, I think they have from a styling point of view, Chris, so it goes as well as it looks then? I'm going to deviate now...still sticking on large capacity hotpoints...In all of this Aqualtis talk has anybody ever considered the...
