Interesting article I suspect that the Whirlpool "Cabrio" is their version of the Kenmore Oasis that is hitting stores now. I find it alarming that they would choose a name so close to "Calypso" given the horrible customer experiences with that product.

How about the Oasis The new Kenmore Oasis is billed as a 4.5 c.f. agitator-less top loader. If a king conforter won't fit there, it won't fit anywhere. According to the Energy Star website, this is the largest capacity washer on the U.S. market.

Aren't Calypso's being discontinued? A walk through my local Sears tells me that the Calypso is about to be discontinued. There are posts here that talk about the new Kenmore Oasis top-load no-agitator machine that is already in stores in CA. This machine is built by Whirlpool, and I suspect...

The only downside I've seen is the issue of water in the door boot. There are drain holes, but only in the first fold of rubber (closest to the tub). Any water that gets into the other couple of folds is going to stay there until you wipe it out. Any comments on this from existing owners???
