Oasis (Cabrio??)
There's no info on Sears.com on these yet, although they've been on the floor at Sears stores in CA for about a month now. I called Sears, and the rep had no info on them, and ended up calling a CA store and let me talk to the department manager to get info. Here in VA, it sounds like they'll be showing up at the end of January (January seems to be 'clearance' time for big appliances, and they are clearing out a number of models to make room for new ones (it appears that the Calypso's will be out of there)). The Oasis is similar to the Harmony, in that it is a topload with no agitator. The wash process appears to be to push the water through the clothes, rather than move the clothes through the water. It is an Energy Star product, although the water factor is a bit higher than the Harmony (8.0 for the Oasis vs 7.1 for Harmony, which is probably a good thing, since some posts have complained that the Harmony doesn't use enough water). Capacity for the Oasis is huge (3.89 cf vs 3.53 for Harmony and 3.3 for the large FL's (Duet, LG, GE)). THS has a long post string on it.
From the WSJ article, the description of the Whirlpool Cabrio sounds a lot like the Oasis, and since the Oasis is made by Whirlpool, I'd conclude that they are essentially the same.
