Who says there weren't machines which would have had A rated spins in the 60's?

only thing that it needs is a new handle on the lid, its cracked in the style of the handle on so many 95 series Hotpoints lol. Guess it adds to the Hotpointy-ness of it :P and it dosen't effect the way it works so I'll live with it

I think I got put in the wrong Newcastle It was -11 here last night, worst cold snap in a very long time :(, The hottest on record in these parts is 34C and that really was extreme lol. Usually only makes about 19 during the day in July/August. Why can't I be in Australia right now :( Matt

Who says there weren't machines which would have had A rated spins in the 60's?

Model Number This spinner is a 1005 and the serial number is 66884 64 if anyone could possibly be so kind as to date it for me? :) Bit of a shame it's not a 3100, but tbh I think you'd be hard pushed to extract anymore water, and still its 50rpm faster than most :). The spout is usually dry...

Who says there weren't machines which would have had A rated spins in the 60's?

Well the repairman has been The pump wasn't salvegable, now, regrettably, it has a magnetic Candy pump :(, it's not as bad as some of them, but it takes noticably longer to empty the drum now and ofcourse theres that annoying chugging. On the plus side the repairman was very nice and let me...

Who says there weren't machines which would have had A rated spins in the 60's?

It was in my local repair shop, surrounded by Hoover Juniors Talk about every cloud has a silver lining! This morning sadly the pump gave out on my Hoover after 16 years of faithful service. When I was at the shop booking the repairman I spotted this in the corner. It really puts modern build...

    Best detergent for dark laundry...

Haha tell me about it! At least I have managed to talk her round to getting something just a little better. A Miele Prestiege Plus 6 :D. Thing with the Hoover is, even if I did have the literature all of the wires look exactly the same so I think it would be hard even then. Hehe I can hear it...

    Best detergent for dark laundry...

Hey Darren Yeah lol, I've always worn dark colours, even when I was little lol. As for the Ecologic she's doing just fine. I've come to the conclusion the timer is wired up wrong so it heats to 60 degrees on cottons 40, and it has that wierd tumble pattern like you're Zanussi washer/dryer. I...

    Best detergent for dark laundry...

I have this exact problem I think I own about one light coloured thing lol. Pretty much all my clothes are dark coloured and yeah they always seem to fade no matter what. As far as I know washing them in a detergent without optical brightners or bleach and at 40 degrees or lower (I do mine on...

    Morrisons Cyclon Detergent

Hi all, My boxes of Ariel bio and colour are running dangerously low now, I was contemplating buying cyclon as a cheaper alternative next time. Morrisons is the only supermarket I can get to, so it would be the only option for a supermarket brand. Does anyone have any experience of it? How...

    Hotpoint aqualtis dryers

looks pretty nice love that despite how modern it looks, the back of the drum is still the same style as my mam's TL61, which is 10 in March :)

Hoover Ecologic overheats on cottons 40

Hi all, I've noticed for a long time that on cottons 40 on my Hoover the door has always felt hotter than on most machines, and other 40 degrees programmes on the machine despite the machine having a double glazed door. I'd never thought much of it until today when I went to do a load and...

Tesco Bio Tablets / Colour Tablets - smell horrible?

It's possibly the most disgusting washing powder scent I I'd compare it more to cheap deodorant or bad after shave, and it's so strong and overpowering even after being rinsed out really well. Matt

    Ominous rumblings

Now just to get my mum's Whirlpool sorted The suspension appears to be going on that too, and the bearings, and the interlock, and the door seal, and probably more, christ it's only 2 years old, maybe thats old for a modern machine =[. At least mum has agreed to shell out for a Miele Prestige...

    A couple of queries

I have been using washing soda as well I thought it did the same job as oxi clean but it dosen't really remove odours any more than detergent alone. As for the deodorant I use Sure extreme protect spray, seems to do the job fairly well, nobody has really had to avoid me lol =P and I change my...

    A couple of queries

Hi all, I have two things I need to ask so I thought instead of clogging up the board I'd just ask them in one go. I've recently been noticing that when ironing t-shirts there is a smell of stale sweat coming from under the arms. It's only a problem with coloured shirts washed in a colourcare...
