Finish Powerball "Max in One" Tablets

I saw these, shopping at Harris Teeter tonight. And, instantly gravitated to them due to the packaging. Basically, it's a new Finish Powerball Formula, with no wrapper, and it comes in this little resealable bag. They remind me a lot of Quantum.. but these Tout "Max Cleaning" and, they have...

How do hotels make their linens so fresh?

Disney When we stayed at the Grand Floridian, they did have wonderful linens. I wouldn't say they had a Bleach scent to them, but, they did have a slight "fresh" scent to them, one I would compare to the scent of.. "Bounce Free". It was light, and not overwhelming. I loved it.

How do hotels make their linens so fresh?

Rasies Hand. From someone who's done a stunt or do, in Hotel Laundry, I can answer a few questions. For one thing, nasty, hard to remove stains, like Blood, get a 6 hour warm soak, in Oxiclean. This is a whole lot more effective than sprays like Shout, etc. If a stain, does not come out...

    GV DW Detergent Fans...

There Powder Detergent is being discontinued, apparently, and it looks like we won't be seeing it come back. IRRC, this was a extremely popular detergent among members here, so it's sad seeing it discontinued. I know it worked extremely well, when mixed with Phosphates, and even without. Almost...

Do Clothes Fade Regardless Of What Detergent You Use?

Keep in Mind I've been told I'm a brand "whore" in the past. But, I find that P&G's Tide Clean Breeze Powder, works best at a tablespoon and a half in my water conditions. In my case, it'd actually be more expensive to use pods, or liquids, or some other brand (not as concentrated). If you...

Do Clothes Fade Regardless Of What Detergent You Use?

Typically Fading comes from Chlorine found in water supply's, used for sanitizing and making water drinkable. Or loose fabric dyes, in high tempatures. Switching to a 40* Cycle, and perhaps... a less alkaline detergent could help. Some detergents even contain a oxygen bleach (with very little...

    P&G is at it again

Also... Avoid Liquid Tide. I've always hated the stuff. Buy Powder. Cleans Better, And isin't coated in such super strong scent.

    P&G is at it again

Answer - Check Riteaid. I had never really looked much in there, for detergents until I heard Laundress, mention them. It's like a Grocery Store Time Machine Service. You can find older boxes of Tide with the old scent there. I have a nice stockpile though (enough to get me (and probably a...

    Laundress- St.Mary's Wool Blankets

@Laundress. Since Enzymes are a big no-no, for wool blankets, I'm curious, what detergent do you use for washing yours? Do you use an Oxygen Bleach? I've been told before to use a non-enzyme laundry detergent, and 1/2 cup of ammonia. One thinks though, that the ammonia's alkalinity could be...

Procter & Gamble's Plan to Return Back to the Top (ADW)

Remember, Virtually Spotless? Remember, how that tagline all went away, and millions of consumers ran from the sinking ship, after Cascade was reformulated to be phosphate free? Well. The folks, at P&G have finally discovered the way to put that all behind them. And, it starts with...

What is your Favorite Detergent/Cleaner Scent?

If you look well enough on shelfs.. (Avoid Walmart altogether, as there product turnover rate is way too high for this) but if you look, and sniff.. you can find older boxes of Tide Powder still available with the old scent. I myself, using free item coupons was able to get 3 boxes between two...

What is your Favorite Detergent/Cleaner Scent?

GUYS If you have purchased Tide, and dislike the scent, CALL & COMPLAIN. Seriously. If enough of us, keep making nasty comments about the product, maybe they'll consider changing it back. Also, it would appear that Tide Reps, get some sort of credit, for how many coupons they send out...

Actlift... Is a special Tide formula, specially designed to leave trace amounts of a surfactant rubbing alcohol blend in your clothing. It's actually been migrated into all the tide liquid offerings (besides "With Febreze") since early 2010. Anyhow, the idea is, if you get a greasy stain on...
