express wash should be used only for very light soil on dishes.it also seems the point of knife placed in the bottom could prevent middle spray arm to turn freely. tabs are not suitable for express wash as the wash time is not enough for them to dissolve properly.

I think the problem is not if the hose will fit on an european valve, i think ours are powered at 220v and yours run on another voltage. if the voltage is the same then you can replace the entire assembly with an european model.
