IS31V Vented compact tumble dryer fault

Hello Richard A friend of mine has the Hotpoint equivalent of your tumble dryer, he had a similar problem and it got fixed. The drum bearing was the problem and the engineer sorted it out as it was in the manufacturers warranty. It's been great since. I wouldn't know what could be the problem...

    Beko Heat Pump Dryer

Looks like a lovely dryer :) I have been thinking for quite a while to replace our Hotpoint ultima CTD80 with a heat pump dryer as we have endless amounts of washing and it isn't eco friendly at all. I've also considered this Beko as it is on a saving at Currys atm but the only reason it is...

My new LG steam washer uses virtually no water

Hi there. Sorry for the delay in replying back. Yes mine has the 6 motion wash system too. It uses the 6 motions all the way through tbh. It does filtration tumbles frequently on cottons and some other programs, it also uses the scrub motion more frequently on smaller loads. Even the normal...

My new LG steam washer uses virtually no water

Hello there :) I have an LG F1479FDS5 washing machine. It's a 9kg TrueSteam model. The water level varies in every wash depending on the amount of clothes loaded in the drum. When you did the empty run it must have detected the lowest possible load in the detecting phase hence a very low water...

    check this out

It sure is a stunning looking machine! I was at the Currys store in Halifax last month and this model was on display, it did catch my eye. I went over to check it out and it had finger prints all over the panel and door, it also had a few scratches that were very noticable.

Introducing the last British designed Hotpoint... Concepta & Millenium

Lovely collection you have there! :) I always did wonder why a relatives Aquarius WMA32 (still in use) was quieter than our Aquarius WMA58 (also still in use) with powerstream wash system which was a newer model. They sure are machines to be collected, my favourite has always been the WMA76 as...

    RUMOUR MILL! (MIELE)

Now that would be something interesting! We have an LG F1479FDS5 and there are 2 LG F1479FDS6's in the family too. We all can't fault these washing machines. Very quiet, quieter than the old LG direct drive WM12220FD and many other machines with inverter motors that we've heard. LG washing...

    New machines and goodbye indesit

The Food tech room in my high school had a 1400spin Whirlpool washing machine and a Bosch WTA2000 tumble dryer as above. In the PE department they had 2 huge tumble dryers like launderette ones, a top load washer made of steel and a pedal operated spin dryer. (They all looked pretty old.)

    Washing Machine with Steam Option?

Hey Haxisfan Once i've used the steam refresh cycle I put the clothes on the washing line for 5/10 minutes as they are a little moist, nothing compared to wet washing. I've never really put them in the dryer after a refresh cycle. I thought of the 7kg LG with the steam option yesterday, looks...

    Washing Machine with Steam Option?

I have an LG True Steam F1479FDS5 which is a 9kg washing machine. The steam refresh program lasts 20 minutes for 3 items, 19 minutes for 2 items and 18 minutes for 1 item. I've used the steam refresh program to get rid of odours such as bbq, cooking etc. It works as it got rid of those smells...

In the market for a new tumble dryer....

Its okay glenfieldmathk1... We're all human, we all make mistakes. I agree with what you've said, the newer dryers have much better sensors from what i've heard from consumers and read in reviews which is a thumbs up.

In the market for a new tumble dryer....

I have a Hotpoint ultima CTD80 with the blue lcd (from the same period as your old VTD20.) It used to dry the clothes properly on cupboard dry before but over the past year or so it leaves them damp which means we have to put it on again on a timed cycle which is annoying. We just tend to use...

In the market for a new tumble dryer....

So the whole main feature of the dryer is unreliable... Chris, you do have a point there. We just use timed drying most of the time as we'll end up with dry washing where as on sensor dry (cupboard dry setting) they're still damp when they're meant to be dry. That is true, our old electron was...

In the market for a new tumble dryer....

Hotpoint tumble dryers are pretty good in my opinion. Well we have a CTD80 ultima and it has never caused any problems. It is a bit old now hence the sensor not being as reliable on all loads but other than that its a pretty good dryer. I know exactly what you mean by wanting a tumble dryer...

    Help please...

The only machines I know of that have a dedicated baby cycle are Hotpoint Aquarius and Aquarius+ models and LG washing machines without steam as the baby cycle is replaced with allergy cycle on the dial on steam washing machines. My aunt has a Hotpoint Aquarius+ WMF740K which has a baby cycle...

My Hotpoint-Electra is now basically a Zanussi Jetsystem

Well done! :) Looks great, thank you for the video. I like how you have the option to turn it off using the rinse hold button. Must be fun to watch, I like the shower spray on my LG steam washing machine, don't know if it helps in the washing performance but it does help with dissolving the...

    Advice/Make Me Buy Something!

I don't know tbh, they seem like well built machines but between the two i'd definitely go for the Miele :) I bet the kitchen will look stunning with stainless steel appliances :)

    Advice/Make Me Buy Something!

Hey there I like all the options you have :) However, spending that much on a washing machine I would reccomend getting the Miele for its build quality, excellent reviews from owners and you'll get 10 years guarantee with it. All the best with the move :)

    Quick Question

I would do what Andy has said above. I replaced a heating element on my aunts Hotpoint WMA 58 and found an ankle sock stuck in the drum, I removed this by using pliers. I could have also removed it from the sump which I opened at the same time to clean. Hope you can sort it out, best of luck...
