I would hope that any of the problems that people have experianced with White Knight condensor dryers have been addressed & refined by Crosslee. Still the Zanussi design has a better door loading width than the standard White Knights. Helps with the bigger items, and I don't find mine too loud...

Microchip controls are not on this machine, it is timer controlled. Maybe they admired they admired the Keymatics? This machine is before BSH influence.

Pump cover Yes I do, pump can / metal guard. Looks like the right one to me in the link. If the pump has been leaking for a while you may want to aim some wd40 on the bolt threads before trying to remove.

Heat pump dryer Do these generate a fair amount of heat in the drum, as in comparison to a conventional dryer? or is it considerable difference?

What the full purple one? I'd quite like the silver one But this was a bargain. This one is a standard CR01, but I found a Memory key panel on ebay and fitted that. The switches that are on the memory are on the standard console board, just hidden. =)
