need to know the age of these Maytags

The dryer is a DE710 and it has the Electronic Dry control. There is no timed dry cycle. There are 2 dryness settings...Dry and More Dry. 3 Temps Regular and Delicate and Airfluff. Good dryer. That model Maytag was the first dryer I had from them and I bought it in 1984 to match the A510 washer...

Is this washer a 1-18 or WCI?

If i can recall right they had what was called the Halo Fill. One series had 4 ports for the water spray then they got rid of it. And with the washer pictured above they had a 13 port Halo Spray Fill system. Plus it has curved vanes at the base ala their HydroSurge Agitator. That agitator does...

the end of a (kitchenware) era

You know often times store brand stuff is made by the same companies that make the name brands...but the store brand stuff costs less. I have had good luck buying lets say Stop and Shop store brand stuff. I dont buy Market Basket name brand stuff since its so friggin cheap and in the case of...

    Gays are "abnormal" and "delusional"

Alcohol does wonders to these people. I have seen guys i know claim to be exclusively straight but get some alcohol in them then the inhibition seems to fall away. I always say everyone is a 6 pack away from being gay.

    Gays are "abnormal" and "delusional"

Well its sounds to me that someone doesnt like much or themselves. And I will say this that those are the ones that scream that loudest often are. And you can find those same people trolling for trouser trout at a rest area or they have their face buried in a pillow or at an airport restroom...

    New Electrolux washer and dryer

Jon I think you have to do it in person. The advert was in the Boston Globe Magazine. Oh and the Best Buy In Saugus at the Square One Mall had them since thats where I saw them. Lowes was rearranging their displays so they were not out. Maybe a different story today since I saw them on Monday 10/29

the end of a (kitchenware) era

I heard that as well. In fact when I was watching How Its Made on the Discovery Channel they said it was a MFG process and it didnt matter which side was used. The only time it matters is with the Reynolds Release wrap...I do buy that for baking since I have not seen a store brand of it...yet.

    New Electrolux washer and dryer

I too saw the new Electrolux machines at Best Buy. They had the washer plugged in and its impressive. The door ..you touch the round disc and it opens the door on both washer and dryer. The dryer has a plastic inner door..I have a feeling over time that will scratch. The washer has a nice bright...

the end of a (kitchenware) era

I have not bought Reynolds Wrap in a couple of years now. When the store is asking up to $8.00 a box for 200 ft compared to $3.00 for the Stop and Shop heavy Duty...guess which one I am going to be buying. I feel bad that this has to happen but when companies jack up the prices they way they do...

    Bosch dishwasher Draining question

I would have to say yeah. My Miele does the draining in spurts...and the circulation motor is still running when the drain pump kicks on. When the water level drops then the circulation pump will stop. I think its that way to keep drawing any soil that is in the water down into the microfine...

    GE 2 Speed..........with MiniWash........

Very nice machine. Thats the first time I ever saw a GE dishwasher with that split upper rack. And that SilverShower arm I would think that with the water level in the tank and how low it is I cant help but wonder if it would get smothered. Plus seeing the silverware basket with the solid sides...

    SHeets

Every week and usually on Saturday unless some "activity" has occurred and then its right after. And I dont think I need to spell out the "activity" part....lol. The summertime I can the sheets twice a week if we dont use the a/c. Then there is the kind of sheets that get put on the bed. I...

    Very Interesting Miele Pair

They really dont have to be converted to 110 volts. But I think that they are 50 hz machines. Plus the dryer is a condenser dryer..not vented. The tip off is the tray on the top corner of the dryer. They are nice just the same.
