    Cold Wash Warm Rinse Cycle

Chetlaham... Sorry, no I don't. It just appears occasionally. Perhaps Robert does.

    Cold Wash Warm Rinse Cycle

Today's Picture Of The Day... There is a Blackstone washer that appears on the site that offers 6 W/R combos, including a Cold/Warm. I have always wondered if that's intended for wool.

    Speed Queen Dishwasher!!

2nd video, Stainless Steel Chopper... I have the MDB4949 with the large wash arms as shown. I do a quick rinse before loading, but sometimes some food gets missed. Occasionally, I will open the door to unload and find a stray noodle fragment or piece of lettuce. Last week, there was a nickel...

Has this ever happened to you, with a Maytag MDB4949?

No baster, no eyedropper... Thanks for the suggestions. I opened the dispenser lid, and flooded with hot water, over and over. I ran consecutive cycles, including Sanitize (for the 1st time), until the sudsing was gone. Remarkably, the sudsing was no worse than using a Cascade pod. Thanks again...

Has this ever happened to you, with a Maytag MDB4949?

Yesterday, I was attempting to refill the rinse aid dispenser. Sadly, I grabbed the wrong bottle of blue liquid. Instead of JetDry, I grabbed Ajax dishwashing liquid. After I began to refill the dispenser, I realized the error. Is there any way to remove the Ajax from the dispenser? George

Frigidaire Dishwasher OrbitClean Spray Arm Issue

Same thing... happened to me. I ordered a conventional spray arm, easy to install, and the machine worked great! Wonder how many have the OrbitClean, and don't realize it's failing. George

    Rare Westinghouse washers! And dryer!

Dryer... has the same control panel that was on my grandmother's slant/window front set early 60's. George

Would an old Maytag A-series washer really do this?

Speaking of Betty Draper... I just finished binge-watching the entire Mad Men series, due in part to the bone-chilling brutal winter here in Florida (haha). With regards to her stellar orgasmic performance with the yellow Maytag, I caught a glimpse of the shelf above, housing her laundry...

    Switching back to using powder

Ariel with Downy... Does a great job for me! As it is sold in a plastic bag, I have a Rubbermaid cereal container to dispense it. Here in Florida, any of the boxed powders I have used will absorb the humidity, and immediately clump, making it difficult to scoop. And I love the strong scent of...

    New Detergent Ratings

In spite of the ratings... Visit a Walmart here in St. Pete after the weekend, and Gain Liquid is almost gone, even with a significant shelf presence.

    Dawn Ruined By P&G

Ahhh Luigi... I agree with what you are saying...question is, how did the duck become immersed in oil? Did they just happen to have the camera as they "rescued" the duck? Or was the duck manually inundated?

    Dawn Ruined By P&G

oily ducky... Here in St. Pete, they continue to run that ridiculous commercial using Dawn to clean the oil off a baby duck...it disgusts me to think of what they put that little guy through to film that demonstration...I steer clear of Dawn, so many other choices.

Old school washers - what are our options here?

Curious... The box on the dryer with the "E", is that detergent?

1953 whirlpool, today’s picture of the day, energy star

You're right Tom... Growing up in Atlanta, I don't recall ever seeing a suds-saver washer, family or friends. Had no idea they existed.

Frigidaire FGHD2465NB1A Circulation Pump Issue? - High Pitch Noise

OrbitClean I had a Frigidaire with one of these, and it stopped circulating in less than a year. I replaced it with the standard wash arm, and it cleaned just as well.

A real estate listing in Mobile, AL

$219,000... Wow! What a price! Is this considered a "decent/respectable" neighborhood? As Florida continues to become more expensive, I might move to Mobile.

    Samsung WA45T3200AW

Water level Extra High is about 3/4 tub. I have actually washed a king-size comforter and mattress pad successfully. Problem is you need a commercial-size dryer to dry properly, and not a 7.0 cu ft Whirlpool. I really like the gentleness of the wash action, as I don't have dirt and stains, but...

    Samsung WA45T3200AW

#6..."really good turnover"...really? That Samsung jumbo load would actually 2 large loads for me. I like lotsa water, and I suspect that's why my Samsung is a bit quieter.

    Samsung WA45T3200AW

Noisy? Not bad, you hear the grrrunt-grrrunt as the impeller oscillates, and with an even shorter grunt on Delicates...but it's overshadowed by the welcomed swish-swish of the water, as the lid's always open.

    Samsung WA45T3200AW

Hey! I just got this Samsung impeller washer from a neighbor for $20. Seems she had chronic problems with unbalancing, and with her extended warranty, she was able to get a full refund, and bought another washer, a GE Profile impeller with agitator. I suspect part of the issue was the machine...
