Wow...they look brand new... Congrats Charley...nice set... The washer is commonly referred to on the site as a "Shredmore"... The "Fast" wash speed is quite vigorous, as it's a Direct Drive... Although I don't think it's much more taxing on the clothes than the Amana/SQ I have... Nevertheless...

I have the same 3.3 cu. ft. stainless tub... Granted, it's in an older version of the Amana/SQ, that fills to the top... But neither of the loads you described sound like an overload... I might cross that off as a possible cause, and look for others... George

"Money shot"... Turntable has been replaced with a unit from a portable...note the short changer/speed control... Works well, but would still like to have an original Micromatic with a new cartridge... George

WOW!!! That's my Mother's iron... I remember the red "steam" and the blue "temp" levers... On the rare occasions I used it, the red and blue always stayed together... I would suspect she did the same... And when my parents updated their kitchen in the late 70's, they bought Quaker Maid cherry...

We have several... Keurigs in different locations... As I like strong coffee, I run the Keurig on its smallest setting... Then, twirl the K-cup, and run through another small setting, added to the initial cup... I've found this gives the max for each cup... My preference is coffee from a...

Malcolm... Rinse time on the Normal cycle was five minutes of beating and thrashing... Permanent Press was about the same, using a longer initial spray rinse as opposed to the once-traditional cool down... George

Coldspot... Advise your Sister to send the machine back... I would be surprised that Lowe's would attempt rewiring the preset rinse level, and that sounds like the only remedy... A friend here in Atlanta purchased the same machine a few months ago... Upon discovering the rinse cycle, Lowe's...

Did it at least spray rinse during either of the spin cycles Yes... At the beginning of each spin, there are two 3-second sprays... All it does in the final spin is eliminate the suds remaining on top of the clothes that never reached the rinse water...   George
