Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

This is a sad day in ApplianceLand.... I only met him in person once, but I am delighted that I had the chance to do so.  He was such a kind and thoughtful person.

Robert, please let us know if there is anything that can be done 'in memorium' for Terry.

I am not an extremely emotional person, but there is a huge lump in my throat as I write this.

Terry, I know you are looking down on us from the 'Aberdeen Farm' in the sky...

So much the champion of joy

In more ways than I can count, Terry was above all else a perennial optimist. And, by "optimist," I don't mean merely someone who maintained a positive outlook, although he did, and it never dimmed, not in the slightest.

By "optimist," I mean that he taught us to value every second of life, to cherish the minutiae as much as the grand plans. He brought us together, showed us the meaning of joy, and fun, and lightness, and neverending, easygoing happiness. When we, the incessant pragmatists, mired in things like logistics and expense, Terry brushed it all away with incomparable flourish--you were put here to enjoy your life, and love others. What, then, were you really allowing to get in the way?

He was magic and Betty Crocker incarnate; countless were the mornings that he had buzzed around the kitchen and made coffee and breakfast casserole before some of us could even roll out of bed. There was a pervasive halo of delight that surrounded him, and more than any other person on Earth--and those of you who met him know what I mean--to know him was to love him. For that matter, to meet him was to love him. He wasn't just disarming, and sweet, and funny. He was genuine.

I will miss him, not just because we suffer such a loss in his absence. I will miss him because he won't be just an e-mail or phone call away anymore, and I still haven't truly been able to get my heart to understand that, despite mourning that all day.

For Terry and for those close to him........

I just wish Cynthia Fee recorded a full length version as it is my favorite. Rest in Peace Terry XOXOXO

I am so sorry to learn of this. Terry was one of the nicest people I have ever met.
Indeed, this is a great loss.

I cant think of but one thing at this moment!

And it probably isnt appropriate but im going to say it anyhow..I ll be damned! One of my favorite people who had a wonderful kind heart, I dont know why but it makes me mad to think such a wonderful person is gone, we had talked about him coming to visit us, and now we will forever be deprived of his wonderful company.. This makes me sick..Hans

:(

I met Terry in 2010 at John's Wash-in and he was a very pleasant individual. I know others knew him very well, but I am so saddened to hear this. Thank you for informing us of the news :(

I'm still in a bit of shock, as I'm just heard of this.
Terry was such a kind, sweet person.
It was a pleasure to have known him, and I will miss him greatly.

I have never met Terry but have heard enough about him to know that this was a wonderful person with a big heart and positive attitude to match. I am unhappy not just because of Terry's passing before I could meet him but that many of my extended family here at AW are in such distress. My love and support to all of you and to his family.

He was the nicest person that night and glad to be in his company for the first time.

Good conversation that night and he always had nice things say in my threads .
He always brought or created a family feeling here and sorely will be missed.
I wish I could have more time as well with him.

"T-bird"...

That has always been our nickname for Terry, since we met him in 2000...
Jeff and I spend a couple of weeks in Florida each year, Summer and Christmas, and always include Terry when he's available...
We were fortunate enough to attend one of his "vac-u-thons"...
A few snapshots follow...
We miss him dearly...

George

Terry was a very special person. He got along and is loved by everyone in both
automaticwasher.org and vacuumland. I will miss him and his annual visits to
Roger here in Tucson.

Rest eternal grant unto Terry.
Let light perpetual shine upon him.
