Huge Estate Sale in Tonawanda, NY

WOW. That looks to be one incredible wet-dream of a sale! The curtains, the furniture, the lamps, the dishes, the kitchen, the NOS detergents, the TVs... AMAZING! Glad it's not in Minneapolis, or I'd be pitching a tent and shining up the credit card! LOL

    The Kennith O. Sisson Letter

Wow. That is very cool history to have.  I love this kind of stuff... Jon - I can only wonder what your letter to Mr. Sisson consisted of!   Now that kids aren't being taught cursive, this should be typed out for future generations to read and enjoy!

WAKE THE DEAD: TOL Maytag washer and dryer - $50 (Cedar Rapids)

Congratulations Drew! Oh, that's such a smart looking set.. I don't even mind the Coppertone. Why would someone buy a TOL set, and hardly use it??! Who cares, right?!    I, too, am in awe of what unfolded here, and am glad everything worked out. Can't think of someone more deserving!

Wow!  I haven't seen that range in a loooong time!  My parents bought their first house in 1980; that's the range we had.  Although ours didn't have the unit up above, and I don't exactly recall what the backsplash of our unit looked like.     Very cool to see that, we sold the house in 1996...

    Sunbeam Item

I think there's a small thermostat adjustment screw on the bottom of the egg cooker (there's a hole next to the nut); you may want to try turning that *very slightly*, maybe half a revolution one way or the other, and see if you have any luck.

Just lift it out and crack it open... Isn't there some sort of tool that is available to chop open an egg? Yes, there is. Google says so!

    Just Plain Bananas....

And, if you really want to round off your Banana experience -- be sure to get one of these!    A banana slicer!    Seriously, take some time to read some of the user reviews on Amazon.  They are hysterical...

    1970's Vintage Avocado Appliances (Noblesville)

Not my style (dark, sculpted cabinet fronts), but I am a sucker for anything high-end and well-done, which that kitchen seems to be.  It certainly has a certain je ne sais quois!  Orange countertops would make that look very Brady Bunch!

    Sunbeam Item

We use ours all the time; I don't know how anyone gets by without one of these egg cookers! A hard-boiled egg out of an egg cooker peels very easily. It sort-of changed my life, actually. Every now and then if there's a small crack in the egg, there will be an "egg-splosion" - egg white sort of...

    Westinghouse Fridge - Minneapolis (Richfield)

It's a left-hinge... if it were a right hinge, I'd be dragging Robert to go pick this up and use as our garage fridge. Looks to be in decent shape, the price is certainly right (if it works, but I would imagine it does). http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/app/4391477573.html
