Pink Hotpoint Silhouette Washer and Dryer

Melvin, Congratulation on this acquisition!  So cool to find a matching pair of anything in a color.  Looking forward to seeing and hearing about their restoration.   Once they're cleaned up, could we get a pic of you mimicking the pic that Robert provided in Reply #1?   lawrence

Info on GE Stove and Oven

Amber, Welcome to AW!  Many good sources of information here.   Based on the numbers you state, I'd say that the cooktop (JP76Y) is a 1964 model, and the wall oven (JD12X) is a 1963 model.  So maybe your home was built in the late fall of 1963, as the model year was changing and dealers...

    Frigidaire Wall Oven

Small wall oven.  I know these condominiums, but not sure if the appliance predates GM's sale of the brand.   $145 in Birmingham, AL   lawrence https://bham.craigslist.org/app/d/birmingham-24-inch-wide-frigidaire-wall/7755207283.html

    Various Finds

The Sapphire WP dryer is really cool - and rare!   But that last GE dryer is my favorite.  Simple and dependable ("small" - ha).   And, the Harvest Gold GE pair ain't bad either.  Appears to be a 1972 set.   lawrence

    That's a wrap!

A few questions The finished product looks very good!  But -    I'm not familiar with this 'wrap' - how does it work?  Is it stretched across automobile panels?  And how is it attached?  Pressure-sensitive backing?   What kind of result might one expect with a non-SS appliance?  Especially...

80s maytags in Pdx Or this weekend

That appears to be a nice, basic pair.  Washer looks like a single-speed, 3 water level, 3 temperature combination model; dryer is an auto-dry model.  If I am correct,  my ex had a pair just like this, purchased in 1985.   lawrence

POD 1959 GE TOL Washer Possibly WA955S

Tom, I'm right there with you regarding this washer and dryer.  The 1958 is a beautiful machine, but there's something about the addition of color to the timer that really makes this one pop!   Which Rich's store were you haunting in 1959?   lawrence

    An update regarding life

Bob, Thanks for letting us know what happened and that you survived the whole ordeal!  There's been a lot of BAD weather in that part of the country for several days, and there could be more.  Keep your eyes and ears open for warnings and protect yourself should this type of situation reoccur...

HELP!! - GE 40" Free-Standing Range - looking for Correct User Manuals

Jan, This range isn't terribly old, in fact, it wasn't built by GE but by WCI.  A quick check of the GE date codes says that a Serial Number that starts with "TV" could be October of 1999 or October of 2011 (1987 is also a possibility, but wouldn't be right for this range as GE was still...

    Universal Roastmaster range

Wow! That's a beauty for sure.  Judging by the copper trim - maybe 1956?   lawrence
