    Turn-Key GE Kitchen

I could just die. That is so perfect and beautiful. Even the yellow vs turquoise. And the door with the three windows. Reminds me of the house in Stuart here with the less spectacular but all original pink Hotpoint kitchen. Even before my interest in vintage appliances, I was intrigued by the...

Are you seeing a noticeable increase in vintage goods for sale

I watched a vintage Magnavox console ('61 to '64, approximate) almost hit the floor at our Fort Pierce Goodwill. A woman attendant immediately told the worker to remove it, a back leg was broken off. So he uncerimoniously trucked it sides up, sliders going askew, back to its fate to who knows...

    vintage turquoise GE kitchen appliances

Kinda sticky I'd pay $6.50 for that, easy.

Pink 1959 Hotpoint Kitchen, Complete with Cabinets

I love the fact it survived, but sadly not for much longer. This house, and others built around here from about 1957 to 1965 have very thick walls, could survive hurricanes and tornadoes very well. For the record, I don't care for every design trend from 1950 to 1980, there were a lot of "what...

Pink 1959 Hotpoint Kitchen, Complete with Cabinets

It looks ungainly, but the big attraction is that you seldom ever see appliances like that, people have to have brand new everything in South Florida.   Since the house is undergoing modern improvements, the seller didn't seem to find it necessary to tidy and wipe down the kitchen...

Pink 1959 Hotpoint Kitchen, Complete with Cabinets

I was put off that there was no fridge! I forgot about the dishwasher. He has a pink bathroom for sale too, with mermaids etched on the shower doors.

Pink 1959 Hotpoint Kitchen, Complete with Cabinets

On legs, no less! In Stuart, Florida, anyone down here up for a project? A bit pricey, but considering it's not just the cooktop and oven. Going to fall victim to modernization, as you can see the missing ceiling. Front door of house has three glass panels in it...

    Marilyn Monroe's last refrigerator - a 1952 Hotpoint

One book I read described her fridge as a "robins egg blue Hotpoint", so all these years I pictured an all turquoise one. So the sides were painted blue to complement the tiles. What a pretty kitchen, I'm still sorry she didn't get a chance to enjoy that home on a long term basis. Here's her...

    Bewitched

Thanks for all these swell screen captures, just to remind us, the first season of Bewitched was colorized, so that explains the looks of everything. Likely they were actually using the real colors which may be somewhere in archives or a studio inventory.

    Frigidaire inheritance, and other things!!!!

We had that stove in white, traded it for a 2001 Magic Chef :( Your new presents are spectacular, what a nice thing for your friend's sister to do, and a wonderful way to remember your friend!

    Magnavox Stereo Console

Magnavox color stereo theatre Phoenix/Peoria area, dramatic ebony finished Danish Modern, would look good in Countryford's living room. Any takers? http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/atq/3146322898.html

    GE

It's gorgeous, and expensive! I saw a similar avocado one and matching refrigerator in Goodwill last year, they went away quickly.

...another craigslist seller who can't read

Tammy tell me true She read "A product of General.....blah blah, therefore it's a General Electric. My other favorite is the stereo or the television, or radio that has the big stylized M on it. Magnavox, of course!! Why read any further.   So, I'm guessing, the stove must be from around...

    Someone in the Chicago area...

I think the stereo console is a Magnavox contemporary color stereo theatre, with the television removed and the middle with tacky double doors screwed onto the cabinet. The coffee table is either a Noguchi or close to it at least, and the three pictures of the little girls are pretty collectable...

    Magnavox TV

Gloria Talbott in the first scene on the television I love her, sadly she passed away in 2000. Your set looks and sounds great, typical Magnavox! I also like the ivory colored knobs in the lacquerred cabinet, that's an elegant touch. I'm glad you got the ad, the accessories on the top give it...

    Hotpoint Tv?

Thanks Hydralique, I think I have that book, but I'm going to look into it anyway to find out if I do. I love record album cover art!

    Hotpoint Tv?

Hydraulique I have that same album, as well as a Sears album with her all decked out in a "Spanish" dancers costume, and on a low budget "Gi Gi" album. I don't think I've ever played them.

    Hotpoint Tv?

I'd love one of the little portables like the one in the first picture, GE or Hotpoint. And the girl in that ad has a vague resemblance to Happy Hotpoint (aka Mary Tyler Moore as if we didn't know)

    Hotpoint Tv?

Dean Martin said on his show one time "Folks, if you want to see us in color next week, just grind up a box of crayons and pour it into your picture tube!" I never tried it, so I don't know what would happen.
